Line 23, you forgot "with" in the "You're met with a cacophony.." And Line 29, "believe" should be changed.
It's a good start. Sal's characterization is great. I think first or third person would work better for this type of story, though. All the "You"s might get clunky later on. Roommates was only written in the second person since it was spun off from Pokemaniacal's greentexts. Might just be my own 'tisms, though.

If we're correcting words, "Irregardless" on line 15 isn't a word, either.

The actual Nightmares in-game are all boring and uniform, in spite of all the added detailing. How would you make them more interesting, user?

I would have made the suits they wore look more organic looking. Like make the suits look closer to the animal they represent to show how kids are meant to see the characters as (Freddy being a bear, Bonnie a bunny, ect ect), and keep the endos mostly the same. This would be used as a contrast to when a kid of the crying child's age is meant to see the characters as and what he knows they are.
I guess to show that the kid sees them for what they are meant to be (organic-looking suit parts), but knows what they are underneath (robot parts).
