Lost World is the worst most annoying tedious bullshit dark event.
Robert Wright
Say again?
Brandon Jenkins
It's also the worst shit to ever roll on Grim Horizon, it should just be removed
Jace Turner
pistols are useful
Jackson Hernandez
I was actually surprised when I finished my Lost+Avenger Assault and only had 120 or so enemies killed. It felt like a lot more considering how long it took.
Jason Rogers
I have no idea how to confirm a bond from this screen. am I retarded or what?
Oliver Hill
Probably just re-balance it to "A chance there will be lost on any mission."
Hunter Torres
Click the handshake icon.
Joshua Cook
Click on the actual green hand icons. It is pretty counter-intuitive, it confused me too.
Thomas Bell
Yeah I just figured it out before checking back here. Thanks anons.
James Baker
>not just giving every soldier an ultrasonic lure
Luke Cooper
Nani?
Josiah Jenkins
Yeah, that's what I thought it would be from reading the description. Or maybe just have it be a single large Lost swarm instead of basically just having every mission have a Lost sitrep.
Owen Fisher
>t. brainlet
Nathan Bailey
Did anybody made Valkyria Chronicles classes/weapons mod yet?
I abandoned my own attempt long time ago after it fulfilled its therapy purpose but Im just curious.
Jonathan Myers
That's all well and good, but it doesn't stop the Lost from actually spawning.
On the Chosen Avenger Defense, the sheer amount of time needed to complete the mission will spawn plenty of swarms, plus the explosions from blowing up the turrets and the generator attract them. And then there's nothing you can do to prevent Advent from using explosives, Purifiers from exploding, etc.
Even if you don't use any explosives, a hundred Lost will still spawn on the mission pretty easily.
Gabriel Hernandez
Just had funniest mission for long time. It was item recovery with Advents and Lost. I had that resistance order which prevented turn timer starting until losing concealment so I took my time scouting my way to the objective. One of the Advent pods started fighting Lost and were brought to low HPs before clearing the zombies. I joined the fight and managed to activate 2 more pods of Advents. Firefight ensued and explosions went off summoning Lost swarms which RNGesus guided on mostly Advents. I was feeling sorry for aliens until Gatekeeper hoovered into the fray and resurrected numerous Advent corpses into psi-zombies. The next enemy turn was glorious human zombies vs alien zombies duke-out and my whole crew felt like bystanders witnessing supernatural cripple fight.
Zachary Torres
>thinking the problem is the enemies
I don't want to sit there for 5 minutes waiting for my turn to start because there's 500 lost on the screen.
Asher Peterson
So I'll be spending dosh on the DLCs I don't yet have soon, should I just coat my balls in steel and get Alien Hunters? Heard it's completely bonkers and I'm restarting enough campaigns as is already.
Kevin Murphy
>playing beta strike >doing last gift mission >julian sectopod comes out >180hp >shit >move up specialist with holo-targeting >fire >EXECUTED!
Hudson Kelly
anyone know
Brayden Cooper
...
Dominic Cooper
They got nerfed pretty hard in WOTC, which is fine because they were pretty bonkers before if you weren't a pussy and activated the mission at a reasonable time. Now they are stuck at Avatar facilities and won't come to wreck your missions until you bust their facilities. They also only react to some actions now and you need to be in LOS of them. Doing stuff like reloading or moving someone who they can't see won't trigger Ruler Reaction. You can actually do stuff out of their LOS that damages them and it also doesn't make them react (squadsight shooting them, hitting them with grenades from out LOS). Just be prepared for them and it's fine. You can always avoid hitting their Avatar facilities until you feel ready.
Colton Ramirez
Thanks user, I wanted to give the DLC a shot but I was spooped by how much it used to fuck with the balance. now only if the armors didn't look like shit
Luis Gomez
>by how much it used to fuck with the balance.
It does fuck with the balance. In your favor. The armor and weapons you get in the DLC are overpowered for the rest of the campaign.
Camden Bell
>but I was spooped by how much it used to fuck with the balance. Frost Bombs are so crazy and arguably better for dealing with normal enemies rather than Rulers that the DLC typically makes the game easier than harder. It's entirely possible you could do an entire campaign without seeing a Ruler.
Leo Phillips
I finished Xcom 2+Wotc on Rookie, now I am on Commander and I could finish it any day I am just boosting my soldiers for kick.
What could I do to make a fun non-serious third run? As a first I thought of installing the mod that increases squad size, but that's it.
Logan Jackson
I've barely played xenonauts, but I feel like this isn't a thing, just like in og x-com
Levi Rogers
So they land with their backs to the ramp and there's nothing I can do about it? Great.
Austin Mitchell
Stuff it, E.T.
Parker Jones
I want to get this mod but I can't bring myself to sign up in loverslab. Feels like I'd get an std.
Kevin Hall
>Feels like I'd get an std. Well it's not like you'd spread it to anyone else.
Bentley Smith
It's not on loverslab, the creator has his own site and you can just download it from there. The version available is only 1.0.1, though, it's up to 1.4.1 at the moment but he hasn't published it yet.
Daniel Harris
how could it possibly be beyond what is published lmfao that doesn't make sense
Noah Murphy
Maybe try for some of those achievements, like the ballistics only challenge, or the one where you have to finish quickly, or the 4 man squad one.
Isaac Baker
...
Ayden Watson
>user doesn't want quality mods >can't be bothered to sign up >can't be bothered to use a throw away email come'on son
Carter Davis
if the most recent published version is 1.0.1, that is the most recent version.
The creator can increment the version number all he wants but if it's not published it makes no difference.
Alexander Campbell
You're trying to argue just to argue. What's available is 1.0.1, what it's up to is 1.4.1 but it's not available, I said this as simply and easily as possible, quit being a deliberate fucktard.
Jason Price
You might as well say XCOM3 exists but isn't available. That's how fucking retarded you are.
Jaxson Reyes
wtf user. Do you think this is not possible? Take a breath a reexamine yourself
Noah Adams
That's like saying Apple is up to the iPhone 12, but it's just not available yet.
If it isn't available, then it isn't finalized and can still be changed. Nothing is "up to" anything but the current version available to the public.
Joshua Thompson
Man you're autistic.
Levi Stewart
Was it autism?
Isaac Sanders
it's retarded to acknowledge something that isn't available except that it may become available. if you said the current version was 1.0.1 but the creator has done work since and is likely to put out a new version soon™, that's significantly different than saying the most updated version is one no one has access to.
Some basic features are still missing, but that's a good new
Luis Jones
>give someone some information >have two (2) faggots whining about semantics
The fact there's multiple people hiveminding about this nonsense is what makes it really sad.
Camden Jackson
>it's retarded to acknowledge something that isn't available No, no it's not. Just because I can't access something doesn't mean it might as well not exist. Just because devs are testing patch 1.34 and it's not released yet doesn't mean it's not a real thing you can talk about. The author has a version of the mod that's not released to the public yet, and he's given it a label, this is pretty simple.
Sebastian Mitchell
it sounds like the dev has about 4 or 5 versions not released to the public, so there's no point in acknowledging them until he publishes one because he's just as likely to fuck off and never publish it or continue devving without publishing anything as he is to publish anything
so yes as a member of the public there is no point in thinking about something I cannot access and have no information on a timeline of accessing thats retarded might as well start saving for my iphone 24 and building my windows 18 machine
Samuel Taylor
Is this the same as the prototype release that came out a week or two ago, or is it intended to be a playable build?
Justin Cruz
Gee user, you really are a master acrobat. Why don't you go suck your own dick somewhere else.
Noah Reed
its called not being a retard
Chase Sullivan
Same prototype, but there are weekly updates
Colton Foster
>getting angry when someone says the dev is working on the mod making the current version an older one >calls others retards
Sounds like you're just an angry little bitch today and needed to vent by picking an internet fight over something stupid.
>last 5 fucking purifiers didn't explode when I needed them to >now one goes up from a pistol shot and destroys a hacking objective
thanks Jake
Landon Young
So I guess not ;_;
Does the WoC existence mean that every mod have to be compatible with it, by the way?
Andrew Green
>Does the WoC existence mean that every mod have to be compatible with it, by the way? You mean WotC? Any mod that changes game logic must be updated for wotc. Cosmetics won't break your game, but may not work.
Luke Ward
>"Get ready for a surprise!" >he says as he throws a grenade, thus ruining the surprise
Michael Turner
Can sectoids speak english
Mason Parker
So if I would make custom class, I would need to buy WotC and make sure it would work with it?
Isaac Kelly
Why is XCOM2 so much worse than EU Shittier atmosphere, shittier classes, dumber gameplay, shittier characters
What went wrong
Christian Scott
>eating pizza and watching the first terror mission of Beagle's L/I S2 Commander's in his base, all's right with the world
Nathaniel Lee
Probably Someone who actually mods might have some other solutions.
Luis Ortiz
Stealth and setting.
Julian Roberts
2 is way better
Christopher Hughes
>2 is way better
Kevin Nelson
Matter of O P I N I O N
Christian Hill
There are a quite a few areas where XCOM1 is definitely better than 2. The problem is that gameplay + mods are such a big improvement, that XCOM2 really overshadows X1. Because gameplay is still the most important core of an xcom game.
Tyler Turner
Is that your profile pic? You might want to get that head examined.
Daniel Brown
Some of you have this utterly asinine nostalgia filter over EU. It was not better than 2 in any respect except Shen Sr. being better than his daughter.
Jaxson Cook
I really don't understand /xcg/'s hateboner for Shen2. She has always seemed fine to me.
Adam Perry
She's average at best, but for most simply unlikable since all she does is bitch about her superior counter-part. This is before you factor in that she is filling Shen Sr's shoes.
Connor Butler
Never had a real problem with her desu. It's just she doesn't have quite as much bants as her dad.
>A chop here, a chop there and soon enough we'll have a soldier like the world has never seen.
Mason Sanders
>oh no she says some not-nice things about my favorite character she is horrible and evil and mean
Landon Roberts
No user, the problem is that is all she does: bitch about stuff. She doesn't have any endearing traits or depth to her character, so all there is is bitchiness.
Cooper Walker
She also loves her dad and works better with Tygan in later cutscenes.
Lucas Price
>that is all she does
And all Bradford does is whine about his sweater. See, I can do that too.
Anthony Richardson
Yes, this is true. I give her an average score, but I can see why people think she's annoying.
But people like Bradford and you don't even believe what you are saying, so it's a pretty moot point.
Josiah Wright
I agree with this. All human characters in XCOM 2 suck.
Tyler Nelson
>She has always seemed fine to me. T. SPARK Her whole character is "I am suspicious of Tygran" >I SAW TYGRAN WALKING DOWN THE CORRIDOR, WHAT IF HE IS A SPY? >YOU KNOW, NOBODY MADE SURE TYGRAN TOOK HIS CHIP OUT! >TWO HAMBURGERS? TYGRAAAAAAAAAAN!
Jacob Mitchell
How could you not like this nigga
Joshua Reyes
I wish there was a "retire" option for XCOM2. The only way you can lose and see your stats is if you let the doomclock go to zero. I want the option to quit a campaign and see my stats on critical mission failure.
Charles Cruz
>TWO HAMBURGERS? TYGRAAAAAAAAAAN!
David Richardson
Are Frost Bombs supposed to benefit from the Grenadier skill that increases the number of grenades in the grenade slot? Because it doesn't seem to do so for me. inb4 >hurr durr they are BOMB not grenades They're thrown explosives, that's a grenade by my count!
Cooper Hall
You do get multiple frost bombs with heavy ordnance. Make sure the bomb is in the grenade slot.
Caleb Green
Of course not, that would be ridiculously OP
Matthew Sanchez
>Make sure the bomb is in the grenade slot. It was. I have some mods but nothing that changes slots or equipment so was wondering. come on lads, don't ruse the newfriend
Jayden Brown
Fellas we gotta stop saying EU/EW when we really mean LW1
Evan King
>And all Bradford does is whine about his sweater Broford is a good man, with a heavy past resting on his shoulders. He saved the commander's ass (with Jane "Waifu" Kelly), and took a bad shot for that. We also learn, ingame, he suffers from the "survivor guilt syndrom", that makes him even more likeable. Not mentionning that, after 20 years, he still has hope to find Vahlen.
