ANIME NEWS Digimon Adventure tri. part 5, "Symbiosis", was released last weekend. The sixth and final part, "Our Future" is to be released summer 2018.
Digimon Universe Appli Monsters also finished last weekend.
There any gameplay of the Sistermons yet for Hackers Memory?
Ethan Collins
I don't get it.
Robert Hall
The pic?
Noah Wright
Hackmon can't sit on Rei's shoulders due to his claw feet.
Jaxon Harris
More creepy Dr. Haru.
Robert Garcia
>Hackmon can't sit on Rei's shoulders Well, it's not like he can, anyway. Gatchmon and Offmon are bipeds, while Hackmon is a quadruped.
Landon Walker
Fuck Australia. I want it now
Daniel Stewart
Someone stop this freak.
Jose Rivera
We lost our biggest reasons to exist, I wonder if we will be able to hold until HaMe releases
Lincoln Murphy
Is he sitting on his dick? Isn't that rape?
True. Tri didn't even keep this place alive for more than 5 days. We will be killed when the last film comes out.
Owen Rodriguez
>We lost our biggest reasons to exist Yuujin?
Jason Morales
Haru please.
Dylan Reed
So what was the point of Appmon? Wasn't it supposed to be a glorified commercial to support a new subfranchise? Why didn't Bandai and Toei try harder? I don't think kids give a fuck about some gay shotas love story. I remember as a kid I gave more a shit about the mons and the friendship they had with each other. This is why liked Tamers then and now.
Easton Nguyen
Series went downhill when they brought the Applidriver Duo into it.
Logan Richardson
It was an attempt to get the children audience back. I dont think we know if it was a success or not, we only know that the (underrated IMO) game bombed. They might have made bank with the other merchandise for all we know
Josiah Allen
Was that shitty toy even successful? Goddamn I'm still pissed that Rei was shafted.
I wanted to see more of his relationship with Hackmon and his brother.
Daniel Hall
Yes, the merchandise went well. They wouldn't have continued releasing Appmon Chips and Appliarise Action figures if they didn't sell. Toylines that don't sell are simply discontinued.
Also, they wouldn't have moved the series to a better timeslot if the sales didn't do well.
Michael Nelson
Lol, you must be new. The anime was more popular the moment they brought DUO and Yuujin joined the main cast.
They released game when it was only around 10 episodes and was close to Pokemon S&M release. No wonder the game bombed. They should have picked another date.
Christopher Nelson
That's messed up but still probably canon
Jacob Sanders
>popular = good
Connor Rivera
They discontinued the card game really fast dint they, it barely got 2 expansions
Carter Clark
Except you didn't specify the context
Logan Russell
The Cardass cards did quite well though.
Luis Kelly
Toei has been trying to bring back Digimon as a thing for the last 15 years or so. Savers was a "mature" approach of the franchise, even with a revamped Agumon with a new evoline. It failed to gain attraction. Xros Wars was another attempt, a more childish one, more "in line" with the first season, but still failed to be relevant. Appli Monsters was a more kiddy approach as well, and with a complete set of Appmons (Digimons in denial) that wanted to be its own thing. I genuinely don't think there will be sequel, so it could be say it failed, too. The problem is that they don't get it, and this is not counting projects like the X-Antibody universe and the Tri movies. It's one fail after another. Only the games seem relevant now, and that was after a lot of failures, as well.
Daniel Cook
Really how do you know that
Jaxson Sanchez
I'm honestly baffled that no one in the fucking series sees any issue with Haru's obsession with the gay bot. Why doesn't Rei say shit?
Lucas Russell
No if Yuujin also wants it
Ryan Morales
You say that as if he cares. Also, the rest of the team doesn't even seem to care that much about him, or at least they have their own lives, so they don't pay attention to Haru. He is pretty much alone in this. Truly Haru was a lost cause without Yuujin.
Angel Bell
They're all brainwashed
Benjamin Anderson
Because the last time he told him anything about Yuujin, Haru flat out ignored him. He probably thinks its worthless to say anything to him.
Thomas Cook
So Leviathan won? Well now the ending makes sense.
Jeremiah Reyes
Leviathan lost.
Whatever AI Haru ends up making is the one who won.
Liam Thompson
I genuinely feel that way about Haru.
Without an Applidriver, he'd be nothing.
Jeremiah Price
>Whatever AI Haru ends up making is the one who won. Why? Will it trick him to working for him so he can see Yuujin again? Appmon S2 is Haru as the villain.
Ethan Johnson
They had released cards for God grade Appmon, and I saw several kids and a few adults playing those Appmon cardass machines when I went to a trip to Japan last month.
Normal TCG cards are harder to sell.
Ryan Jones
>Gogglehead becomes sequel villain That would actually be a great idea.
I remember when Hunters was just about to start and there was a theory going round that Tagiru was a fake invented by the DigiQuartz to fool Taiki and the rest. Shame it didn't happen.
Jacob Hall
Thats sad that people prefer those to the real ones Once those arcade machines go away the cards become useless
Hunter Green
>my favorite characters in XW were the 3 Commanders, Zenjirou, and DarkKnightmon >I wanted Zenjirou to become a general >I wanted Tactimon to unlock his sword >I wanted Blastmon to get his body back >I wanted Lilithmon to be treated as a threat again >mfw they were all treated like shit
I only continued to watch this shlock out of hope that DK would be the end game boss, but that was a stupid of me for having hope to the writing staff. XW will always remain at the bottom rung for me when it comes to Digimon seasons, so much potential, all squandered by hacks.
Juan Long
Well, I don't blame them. The cardass cards look better and more lustrous. It can work as collectibles too.
Colton Cruz
Blastmon was another character who was too good for his series.
This is how you do gay, Appmon.
Cooper Stewart
Am I the only thinks that Yuujin is alive but the creators made it open ended was so that autists and fujos would buy the merch up so that they could get a season 2 or a film? Call me cynical, but that's how it seems to me.
Jayden Kelly
>when you realize every gay is fated to death in digimon
Grayson Nelson
Haru's still alive though. And don't give me that bi shit. My brother had a mad crush on a qt gril when he was 14, but now he is a flaming homo.
Landon Thompson
Mimi's still alive.
Noah Taylor
>Hikari Nah, Hikari was never in Mimi's sphere of influence. Meimei, in other hand...
Jayden Flores
Blame the artist for that.
>Meimei, in other hand... A predator latching onto its prey and sinking its teeth in with no remorse.
It's as if Mimi enjoys it.
Austin Sanchez
Tri should've had Mimi as MC Only then could it have been saved
Juan White
>DK would be the end game boss I don't know why you thought DarkKnightmon was going to be the final boss, when Bagramon was the obvious answer. That would be like saying Yuujin or Minerva were going to be the final boss, or saying Ordinemon is the final boss in Tri, that doesn't make sense. Digimon has always played their villains pretty straightforward, there has never been a bait as switch as precedent. It was obvious Bagramon was going to win over his brother, he was smarter, powerful and literally a Keikakuman, DarkKnightmon never had a chance.
Joshua Long
>Digimon Adventure tri. is the story of one girl's rise to benevolent dictator of the Digital World Who wouldn't want to watch that?
Jaxson Hill
>he was smarter, powerful and literally a Keikakuman He got too little time onscreen to demonstrate any of that, and so it was completely unsatisfying when he overtook Dark Knightmon, though I 100% saw it coming since Bagramon had done literally nothing whatsoever for the whole rest of the show, so he was obviously going to finally get a moment there.
I don't understand that user's beef with anyone else though. XW was not even remotely a character driven show, so I have no idea why he got so attached to anyone
Justin Walker
>He got too little time onscreen to demonstrate any of that Yeah, and I liked DarkKnightmon as a character, but I always knew the big boss was Bagramon. The problem was, that a lot of the stuff he did happened behind the curtains, or even before the kids arrived at the Digital World. Basically every season the final boss is someone with little to no screentime until the very end. Same as Leviathan, we only knew he was powerful thanks to the lore, but we never saw him doing stuff directly, until the last episodes.
Kevin Barnes
>XW was not even remotely a character driven show, so I have no idea why he got so attached to anyone Xros was meant to be about the Digimon, but its cast got too large to handle.
Cooper Taylor
>Basically every season the final boss is someone with little to no screentime until the very end. Not true whatsoever of Tamers or Savers, debateable for 02 since Vamdemon was built up in the prior show, as well as Adventure, since Apocalymon was formed from their past enemies
Ultimately though, XW is something you mostly watch for the over the top action and gimmicks, and the Bagramon vs Shoutmon X7S fight fulfilled that to such a degree that I've stopped being mad about it. We got to see plenty of Dark Knightmon doing his thing during the show anyway.
Oliver Wood
Is there a torrent with every appmon episode yet
Ian Thomas
No.
Not even sure if L Subs are going to redo the first half of the series like they said they would.
Anthony Green
Why is Alphamon listed with the bad guys?
Austin Price
>Anime Bagramon >Smarter
Wat. He straight up brute forced his way through all of his problems. DK was the smarter one.
Jayden Richardson
Because the word "guys" has had gender-neutral usage for decades and a few butthurt Feminists won't change that.
Asher Peterson
He was a bad guy in the original Digimon Story
Jordan Edwards
Because the adventure kids have Omegamon who is usually the villain to Alphamon's hero.
Joshua King
They are simply darker colored. They are not bad.
Ryan Ward
That's racist.
Anthony Brown
Imagine being this happy at having two guys you can twist around your finger.
Kayden Walker
>Leviathan lost To be fair Leviathan played himself. He had already won at the time the gang went and confronted him, but for some reason he gave the main choice to Haru even when it was 100% obvious he was going to pick sacrifice Yuujin for the sake of the humanity.
Jace Russell
Adventure should have been about these three.
Logan Hughes
anyone want to be my friend in digimon links? 4389 2829
Matthew Nguyen
It really should.
Jeremiah Russell
She will. L Subs is an one-person sub, which is one of the reasons it's taking so long for the batch release. Onkei didn't have time to sub multiple episodes per week, which is why after episode 10 she skipped to the most recent episode as otherwise it would take too long to catch up and people would only watch the series badly translated.
Robert Green
>she
Gabriel Cooper
Didn't realise Onkei was doing it all on her own. That's some commitment.
Yes, she.
Did the subs for Adventure way back in the day.
Sebastian Rodriguez
>she
Nathan Brooks
>it was 100% obvious he was going to pick sacrifice To be fair, Haru talked about bringing Yuujin back in the previous episodes, so Leviathan saw this and thought "his goal is keeping Yuujin alive" and believed Haru would choose "No" or waste all the time without deciding. How was Leviathan going to predict "I'll become an AI researcher ton cheat this choice"?
Wyatt Jackson
Well, he was an AI, he could have predicted all the possibilities that could have happened, but still failed to see the whole picture.
Sebastian Watson
Yes, she. It's well known Onkeikun is female. Is it that hard to understand this? If you don't believe it, just ask her. twitter.com/onkeikun
Christian Rogers
>she
Cameron Flores
Not that user, but I believe it. Only a fujoshi would have the dedication to sub a series like Appmon.
Juan Torres
The thing is, Leviathan explicitly said stopping him would kill Yuujin. How could he predict Haru would still think "I can still bring him back after this"? That's my point. Leviathan doesn't understand faith.
Nathaniel Morales
But L Subs started before Yuujin's arrival into the show
Ian Roberts
Yuujin was a character from day one.
Cameron Adams
and haru wanted his dick even then
Brody King
Not that I disagree with you, but my point is that his bluffing costed him all his years of work and even his own existence. The problem is, that Leviathan should have smashed all the humans left when he could, instead of thinking they were going to cooperate with him.
Wyatt Stewart
>Only a fujoshi Or a very dedicated Digimon fan. Onkei has worked in the subs of literally every Digimon series, and has even translated interviews and CD dramas in her blog. In fact, I think she's the only who has translated any Digimon CD drama in English. She also has translated the first two Digimon Adventure novels, and part of the third.
I downloaded an apk from australia and it works fine. Might need to issue a transfer later on. Got it from kongpao chat lol
Jordan Lopez
Yes, she. Can you just spit out what you are implying?
Cooper Evans
>she
Aaron Phillips
Tri > Appmon > Adventure > Tamers > shit > Savers > Xros Wars > Young Hunters > 02
Samuel Perez
You're not going to get an answer.
Clearly some memelord.
Hunter King
She.
Carson Thompson
>she
Levi Turner
>Him.
Nolan Rivera
>It seems she ships yuri Nah, I am seeing a lot of HaruxYuujin pics there. If not a fujoshi, I am sure she is a degenerate, anyways.
Noah Allen
It sucks but unfortunately digimon has a lot of female fans Thats why we keep getting so many faggots as characters, digimon propelled the fujoshi movement in the 90s
Hudson Edwards
does digimon linkz suck or something so that's why no one is talking about it?
Oliver Parker
It still makes me laugh that the biggest turnout for a D-1 Grand Prix was precisely because Fujos arrived in droves
