i'd prefer if there were a way to play it as a more turtle-stabby weapon rather than just "bad DBs" where you only need the shield if you fucked up. somethere were you can stab the sword and twist for sustained DPS or something would be cool. hell, make it a fucking drill-sword. just let me stab things with a sword in any fucking videogame ever. literally zero games where short swords are used for stabbing.

dark souls 3 added a weapon relevant to my roman gladius and parma ideal but even then it wasnt quite right.

Is elemental/status worth it? I rather not have to farm for five different weapons

How good/shit are GS and Hammer at inflicting Blast?
I know the Hellblade weapons are usually good even without taking Blast into consideration, but I am trying to decide whether to complement them with either Bombardier or Critical Eye +1
I am using the Redhelm armor set so I have no slots, I need a skill that can be acquired with a single charm and currently those are my 2 options.

bombardier does not stack with blast damage, felyne pyro does

elemental is good for certain monsters

it's super niche, but it really shines on the monsters that actually have strong elemental weaknesses

status is generally pretty useful in a group, makes locking down a monster and obliterating it that much easier

Right, maybe I worded that poorly, there is some confusion between Bombardier and Felyne Bombardier.
I mean Bomb Boost, I have a charm with +10 on that and it does raise the amount of Blast on my weapons.
