So I get to fight Protoman again and not JunkMan on my 2nd play? I think Junk is the only soul I'm missing, I have 5... is that normal, is that why it requires 3 playthroughs?

Yeah, it's better, and I enjoyed the new scenarios and souls I didn't get previously. NumberSoul is fun to quickly crack out PAs... The Metal soul I doubt I'll ever use though.
The thing however is that annoying enemies become even more annoying as the game goes on... Think of Melody or Moloko.
This made me look at an enemy list, and goddamn... BN4 has so few different enemies it's crazy.

I had a look at my chips list and tried to find as many PAs as I could... i got 17 now...
Why do most of them just suck? Some even do LESS dmg than if you used the 3 chips seperately for christ sakes...
The only ones which seem worth using out of the 17 I have are:

Pile Driver
TimeBomb+
FlameCross 2
What did you guys used?
Also, I stumbled against some Omega Navi ghosts and they always rape me... considering I have 130/150 chips I'm a little surprised at how strong they are in comparison. What am I missing? It seems that status attacks, like blinding enemies, seem really good in this game is that correct?

BN4's program advances simply suck for the most part.
Wish I could comment, but I don't ever do the post-games in Battle Network. I did 3's a long-ass time ago and I never bothered with another game's because they were way too grindy.
To that end I've also never did any NG+ in BN4.
For the most part I just used LifeSword and PileDriver in the main game, but that hardly helps you where you are now.
They started nerfing after 2, and significantly after 3. They wanted you to focus more on netbattling and souls.
And yet BN5 has wildbird, in S code no less.

Why is Z4 so bad
It was supposed to end in Z3, Capcom wanted Z4.
Z4 wasn't bad tho.
It wasn't bad just weirder. The new weapon sucked, and hunting for items also sucked. The story was also kind of just alright.
OTOH the Elf system was good and it had a satisfying ending.

Good since ZX is my favorite series and the reason I've stayed.
Bad since ZX is the reason why I cling on some illusory hope that Capcom will change and actually treat Megaman as a series right.
ZX had some good ideas. What failed was really the map itself.

it was like, when companies and stuff use to release packs of art and theming stuff so people could make their own fan websites, back when angelfire and stuff was popular. someone took one of those, and made a pretty sizable website and did all that. its just burned into my head because of the dr. light quotes at the bottom of EVERY page. hardly the most extreme stuff out there. theres the set with zero and basically the waist sized power drill that just splits him open. and that roll.exe set where they inject corrosive acid of some sort into her arms and legs and bisect her. the whole "they are robots" thing lets people get creative and justify it not killing them outright
anyways, dont you think that giving reploids the ability to feel pain is kinda abuse?
