There's nothing like that as far as I know, but each character seems to fit a basic mold.
For Sports types:
You have tanks, these are the BIG characters like Nekomaru and Sakura. They gain tons of health and defense.
You have speedy little guys like Ryoma, which gain lots of agility and often luck too
You have pure damage dealing monsters like Kamakura, which go all-in on attack points
For Mages:
All in on magic
Speed based
Fortitude magic tanks
For Variety:
Very well balanced characters
VERY VERY lucky characters, this include the Ultimate Lucky students and Rantaro, these guys easily get high luck, even 999 is reachable
characters that lean towards a specific stat, for example Himiko seems to lean toward MP and Magic just a little
Hope this helps. I don't have much details on Mages because I avoided them, they sort of suck because later game you can easily get a Variety character maxed out in Magic, without sacrificing literally every other stat like a Mage will do. Check my Himiko, a variety character with endgame gear.

Mine is absolutely Himiko. Maki and Kaede are close, Tulpaman was great, Ryoma was fun, Miu was cool. I liked Gonta when he wasn't just a dumb joke.
From 2 Hiyoko was my favorite, with Ibuki and Gundham close behind. Sonia was funny, she had my favorite scene when she gave the first "Sparkling Justice!" speech. Mikan and Nekomaru were cool.
From 1 it's iffy, the cast was cool but I didn't love them overall. Junko, Celeste, and Togami were all cool, I'd have to give best character to Celeste for her freak and out 10/10 execution.

Keep in mind the strongest bosses, especially the optional ones, will still be 1-shotting tanks. They do insane damage, and have high crit rates.Tanks are useful, but I generally didn't like them. Nidai specifically can be an amazing tank if you aim for his friendship/event squares, as most of them give him a defense boost.
