I soloed garuga hr to farm it and always just focused on the legs
If you get hit by an attack that starts on the front then don't complain

you literally look upward and watch where it flies, there is a limited number of places it goes

the hitbox of that attack extends all around its body by the way, but the monster is also extremely aggressive especially in G rank. Unless you mount it you're always either in front of it or have just dodged to the left to avoid a beak slam.

It frequently flies multiple areas. That's the point. The number of areas it flies is more or less random and so is the direction it flies past the first area.

The only digging monster I can think of that does that is brachydios and it only does it when it's going to its nest in the volcanic hollow so you know where it's going.

Other than finishing touches on endgame sets? Things like Alatreon, Hallowed Jhen, Lucent Nargacuga, Abyssal Lagiacrus, and HP sponge versions of Stygian Zinogre and Brachydios. There's no real carrot on a stick.

they actually have the same hp, second district has an additional phase and he enters phase 2 faster
