How do you get colored lighting?

Certain lamps have weird lighting. Gorgeous lamp makes red, sloppy lamp makes blue, lotus lamp can be customized to be a bunch of colours.

Haha, thanks! It took a while but I'm glad I was able to find so many blue and white objects to fill it with, including refurbished Regal furniture which I've loved ever since Wild World. There's a wall fan and air conditioning too so it feels really relaxing to just lie on the bed, yeah.

I just used a lot of furniture that lights the room in the same colour. Like my blue room has that Pieces lamp, football fish lamp etc. My red room has that red paper lamp and red-tasseled lamp like in pic related.
The green room has that refurbished 7 lamp and the winter room has a Birthday Cake and those Birthday candle thingies.

I took photos of my room at all four directions, partly so that I could put them together and show the room at four angles, but perhaps you guys are satisfied with the current view?

ORE is finally on premium in my goddamm town. If anyone else is like me and has been storing all their ore for the past months and would like to unload over in my town let me know!

It's always super satisfying to find the right color combos. HHD is a great way to experiment too. This is why my rooms are always so crowded though, I add in things to make them more realistic like space heaters and air conditioners. How am I going to stay warm if I don't cram this heater in the corner?
If you want your room to be blasted to hell with color then get the balloon dog lamp. It can be customized a lot of ways and it'll light up your rooms real good.
Stained glass lamps are great too; I have a red one upstairs that makes that room just the right color.

The biggest follies of the lighting system are

- rooms are always darker towards the back. Try moving a white table back and forth and you'll see it become grey or ultrawhite.

- All lighting, HHD or NL, is centered meaning you can't have something like a blue left and a red right - they both just apply at the middle and leave the sides dark anyway.

- NL's inability to have or use curtains means if you want a color themed room it has to be main floor or basement because daytime effs it up

I do think about the lighting in my homes in HHD but I don't think I've tried for a specific colour yet.

Is that the same for the volume of your music coming out of your music player? I swear if I move to the opposite side of my phonograph the music isn't as loud. I like that little detail, but maybe it's all in my head so I wonder

Lack of curtains and inability to remove windows breaks my soul every time. I guess it helps my lamps are all the way towards the back of both rooms they're in so I get a nice, even color coding.
Your being here certainly helps. It can get pretty slow.

Music volume definitely changes depending on where you stand, I like that feature too. If I'm all the way across the room from my stereo, it's not at all as loud as when I'm right next to it. As someone said in the other thread, it's the little things.

I remember reading this somewhere before, but does watering flowers actually make the grass under them grow faster? I know watering ground with no flowers on it will hydrate a flower even if you plant it afterwards (and if you place it somewhere else where it wasn't watered, it doesn't sparkle)
