Xenophile VO a CUTE!

>tfw just twiddling your thumbs as a pacifist waiting for the prethoryn to invade

.

Dammit, I always assume he's picking his nose or something.

He's pepe basically

Oh, fuck you. Now I'll never be able to unsee it.

No, comrade premier. It has only begun.

>2400+
>doesn't have at least half the galaxy
So sad.

>baw baw whine whine
Grow up.

I'm not sure you're aware of this, but Stellaris is a 4x game and has a set of explicit win conditions.

>guy calls other guy a faggot in a very nonconfrontial and jokey way
>>BAW STOP WHINING GET A LIFE

>samefag
Sad!

>Multiple people think I'm acting like a faggot?
>No! It must be the same person
Sad!

I really like that artist.

Same
Shame about all the CBT though.

>samefag has the same tastes
Woaw, who saw that coming?

>2nd post wasn't even related to your chimp out
>s-samefag!
You're a special type of spastic, ain't ya?

I am all posters in this thread, including you.

>Can't declare war
>Doesn't have half the galaxy
ok

Yeah. But it wouldn't be a nippon if t'weren't for some weird fixation and/or fetish, right?

Git gud scrub.

At least it isn't NTR

>I won't be able to justify moving my capitol from my homeworld until they implement federations joining up into a super state.
How would that work though, how do you make sure you're the one who still controls the super state once it's integrated? It's not like a master and vassals. Or would it be a sort of time share empire, where the player gets to control things for 10 years at a time and watch the AI control for the rest of the time.

I haven't the slightest idea.
All I know is that Wiz and the like mentioned shit like that before.

Which Civ V leader is the best waifu?

Whoever wears a corset.

Horatio Sauce

Did they fix Synthetic Dawn fucking over custom civs yet?

...

for

Dido!

So I've spent the last 24 hours messing around with my Stellaris files, and I was wondering what some of you might think about the changes I made and if you'd be interested in downloading it in some sort of mod.

What i've done so far:

- Overhauled the current evasion system; base evasion on all ships is reduced. Evasion bonus on technology increased
- Build time of all ships increased by 2x. Minor cost adjustments to tier 1 weapons to prevent naked corvette spam
- HP of corvettes reduced by 50. Cruisers increased by ~500. Battleships increased by ~2k
- Drastically altered laser weapon mechanics; cooldowns, damage, and range significantly reduced
- Increased speed of missiles from 5 to 25
- Increased range of Kinetic Artillery from 100 to 125
- Decreased range of Energy Lance from 100 to 75, 80 with T2
- Slightly enhanced armor upgrades
- Added ~20 new species traits
- Modified all starting FTL modes to be hyperdrive only; jump drive range significantly reduced
- Removed "Psionic Theory" requirement from Psionic Expertise trait

Tried Hegemony 3.

Maybe I'm just shit, but I can't do anything right with that game. The enemy always outnumber me while I struggle to make a single kopek.

time to post fugtrup webms

Just another siezure inducing pic

>Overhauled the current evasion system; base evasion on all ships is reduced. Evasion bonus on technology increased
>HP of corvettes reduced by 50. Cruisers increased by ~500. Battleships increased by ~2k
Corvette spam might be an issue but Corvettes shouldn't be made pointless either.
Especially if you're on about doubling ship build time

>Build time of all ships increased by 2x
Makes the "whoever wins the first doomstack smashing wins the war" problem worse.

>Added ~20 new species traits
Like what?

>Modified all starting FTL modes to be hyperdrive only; jump drive range significantly reduced
Why?

>Removed "Psionic Theory" requirement from Psionic Expertise trait
This is actually very useful
Unless you cross your fingers hoping you start the game with a Scientist with the Maniacal trait or piss all your influence on going through the deck until you get one you're most likely going to end up sitting in your 2nd perk waiting for the tech to pop up.

>Hive next to me just conquered a fallen empire then BTFO by an awakened dick smasher
>Schizo fallen robros off to the east keep begging for muh lucky charms and weird demands
>starting to snowball like fuck with insane science from the start of mass produced megaprojects

wat do?

>starting to snowball like fuck with all my mods

>starting to snowball like fuck with all my genocide diplomacy

>start near the Cravers
>quit and restart

>start near the Cravers
>roflstomp them immediately by blocking them in without declaring war and colonizing everything so you can spam them with ships later on

>start near the Vodyani
>They want to become friends
>never leech around me
>form eventual alliance
>they're the strongest AI in that game
>win game after 230 turns
how in the fuck?

I have literally never seen a Vodyani backstab me after making peace with them.

New to Stellaris. An empire just declared war on me. Its still early game, but there fleet is about 1k greater than man. I know my fleet will wipe if I engage. Is there any hope in trying to siege their planets faster than they can do to mine? I've got all my worlds defended with armies.

I have. Completely randomly. Even though I, too, was vodyani, and I was currently the strongest force in the entire game. They did so by joining the alliance I was currently at war with (and winning against), the retards.

Is it just me or is playing as a robot race from the start way harder than just converting later

Doesnt seem to be many benefits

The AI seems to try and team up to get a conquest victory when the game drags on.

So it joins the completely wrong side?
Then again, they were the only alliance.

Post a screenshot showing your fleet, your empire and their empire.
Their fleet as well if possible.

Mineral vomiting.

It requires a lot more micro, and a huge chunk of your minerals are going to be dumped into pop production. But all of your pops have huge production bonuses. I've also noticed that I have direct control of planets in sectors, as if they were core worlds. Don't know if that is true for everyone or just robo empires.

It's for everyone.

>OP's pic
>"Virtual Dust, son!"

Hm, maybe ill focus on cheaper build cost and more mineral production then

>Corvette spam might be an issue but Corvettes shouldn't be made pointless either.
Especially if you're on about doubling ship build time

Doubling build time nerfs all ships, not just corvettes, and im probably going to add even higher costs to larger ships since they got a hp buff in the first place. I'm still running combat tests for the modification. My goal is to keep the game as balanced as possible while offering a variety of build specializations. You can even get roughly the same max evasion on corvettes in what i've modified, but you'll need all of the ship upgrades, afterburners, and a leader with +evasion to obtain it. Interestingly enough, the new system provides for potential evasion builds for cruisers and battleships too, and i'm going to continue testing to balance them all out as best I can. It should be fun.

>Like what?

For starters, one that decreases corvette cost significantly and increases naval capacity, Other examples include longer lifespan, stronger armies and morale, 2 minor research bonus ones, +2 tiers of phy/soc/ind bonuses, an extra 2 tiers of intelligence, some that improve unity, levelling, diplomacy or happiness, and a few that have significant benefits but minor costs, like "oppressive", which gives added slave bonuses but reduces population happiness.

>Why?

This is just a personal decision, partially because i don't like the way the map ends up when there are wormhole drives, but more because I like being able to use hyperlanes strategically. When everyone's limited to hyperdrive, you can section off your borders a lot easier and force specific areas of confrontation. I was inspired by an old mod and modified all of the ftls to have different wind up and wind down times so that they have different effects on combat.

>This is actually very useful

I figured someone would at least appreciate this one.

My last game had 4 AI who hated each other team up and almost win a conquest game. I doubt there's any kind of check besides spamming alliance requests to everyone who can take them.

Here you can see my fleet in the late stages of wiping. I am now defenseless, might be able to rebuild quickly.

>Doubling build time nerfs all ships, not just corvettes and im probably going to add even higher costs to larger ships since they got a hp buff in the first place.
That's what I meant.
Doubling ship time affects Battleships and Cruisers far more than Destroyers and Corvettes.
So since for example that battleships and cruisers now cost a fortune as well as taking twice as long to build why wouldn't I just spam corvettes?

>This is just a personal decision, partially because i don't like the way the map ends up when there are wormhole drives, but more because I like being able to use hyperlanes strategically. You could just set the game to Hyperlane only, it's an option available in the vanilla game when you start a new game.

A station counts for 1.6k fleet power, you should sit your fleet there and wait for them

Also; building a fort with a magnet on it so they jump onto the station is a good way to fuck up the AI

Sounds good. I should be out producing them, my empire is twice the size. Maybe I can salvage this Their war goals are also huge, since the selected every planet I have.

I may have miscommunicated; I've barely touched the costs of battleships/cruisers, all ive done is double their build times. I said that I'm going to run more tests to see how they do first.

>You could just set the game to Hyperlane only

If I did that I wouldn't get the other two versions of hyperlane that i've created, with the different wind up and wind down times.

>Selected every planet you have
Now i feel safe in my paranoia of fully garrisoning every planet i own with non-upgraded clones.

Defense armies just mean that the enemy will actually need to send an actual invasion force and not take the piss and drop only a few armies because you only have garrisons.

>try aurora
>get error 3021
>change decimal separator like some anons said
>still get the errors
>try different setting/start as administrator
>nothing works
>try the game on my shitty laptop
>it actually works without any problems
>aside from that my screen resolution isn't big enough for the windows ingame to show on full size

Reee fuck this niggershit.

It's not even a fun game

>not using the portable version

You are thye only one to blame here.

It seemed fun and deeper than stellaris which I've been playing too much lately.
I tried it with that too didn't change anything.

Its impossible, portable version changes decimal sepearator on its own.

>cravers spawn next to you

>cravers spawn next to you
>you've just brainwashed and succ'ed a nearby minor civ
>you have enough soup for an Ark
>they're begging for a truce after you steamroll their fleets and draining the shit out of their home system

When you invite someone who you thought were the Blorg to your home

>varying degrees of want.jpg

Make it like the HRE, where reforms can be passed to strengthen the leader. Eventually disbanding the federation and making all the members your vassal directly, and the final step is annexation.

>portable version
lmao casual

>playing civ4 bts immortal large continents
>about to win launch space ship
>have 20 cities and a small vassal share the megacontinent with mongols who also have 20 cities
>constant espionage failures
>oh well they're not plotting i guess ill just build units in case
>8 turns to win
>DOW
>ear raping whooshing sound
>been nuked 30 times
>forgot to build SDI

still won only lost one city but it fucked my hall of fame score baka

Man, I remember liking Age of Wonders 3 a while ago when it came out but downloading it and trying it now, it just seems really shitty, clunky, and low quality. Nothing in it feels good. Especially the user interface.

I used to have a pretty shitty computer so maybe back then I just assumed that those issues were related to my performance problems.

>modern rts

what went wrong?

what games require you to click multiple times to select units?

>>modern rts
>>click

>>click
>>click
>>unit selected

Name but one that you need to do this...

Who are you quoting?

trying to select air units in pa and ta respectively
It's also something I noticed with grey goo, ashes etc.
whereas RA2, again, just works first time every time.

>trying to select air units in pa and ta respectively

But what game actually REQUIRES you to click several times to select units ?
We are not talking about your wooden hands and inability to select shit.

>Be a pacifist xenophile empire
>Became a pacifist FE's lapdog because I figured I might fuck around with another FE while under their protection
>They just want peace for everyone and I thought that's okay since I'm a peaceloving hippie too
>My daddy FE is good, they invade the other FE and give me their systems while keeping me out of trouble
>Contingency shows up
>I figure my daddy FE will help
>My FE daddy does fuck all about it
>Lose three massive fleets before I finally get enough and figure out a good fleet composition
>Get massively pissed off at the inaction of my daddy FE
>Ask my daddy FE to gimme muh independence
>They say no
>I say fuck you daddy and declare war
>spend fucking ages fighting off FE's smaller allies while avoiding the FE fleet
>Decades pass as I basically follow the FE and invade back everything they invade while my second fleet wrecks and invades other crap
>Decades of war, thousands of ships lost
>A militaristic faction becomes a majority faction
>Become a Militaristic dictatorship

Pacifist FE wants peace for all so they end up turning the largest, most peaceful pacifist empire in the galaxy into a militaristic imperium geared for war.

Good job, assholes.

>git gud
fuck off. it's not a problem in old games. you click and it's selected. in new games, nope. gotta be super fiddly about it.

So far you havent posted even ONE example of a game that requires player to click multiple times to select units..

So you simply talking shit.

I have posted many examples

No you didnt because none of the games you posted require multiple clicks to select units.

are you an idiot? were you so monumentally stupid and ignorant you actually thought I meant it required exactly four clicks to register to select something? and it wasn't just an arbitrary number greater than one?

it only takes one click to register, the problem is the first three usually don't.

whereas in old games it works instantly the first time every time.

>i was just pretending to be retarded

Classic.

I wasn't pretending. I was just using rethoric above a 5 year olds level.

>I wasn't even pretending to be retarded

Now that's novel.

>when you take that first dust sip
God bless Op for keeping this general kumofag free for a solid week

>lmao 2 deep for u xxD

Another classic.

Invest everything into your military. When they attack, play defensive and hold them off until their planets are depleted. You will know because they will start to sue for peace, because they know they are economically weak. Then go in for the kill.

What ethics/traits should I go for capitalist pig?

the best way to rebalance combat in stellaris would be changes that push players into using multiple fleets and not just a giant doomstack.

Increase ship HP to allow combat to not be all or nothing, and allow players to tactically retreat.
Massively slow down FTL speeds and make them even slower for the biggest ships and larger fleets, so that you can put your fleet in a doomstack, but if you've got 50 battleships in it, it's not going anywhere fast.
Massive increase fortress HP so they provide an actual challenge & can hold ground, while keeping their cost high enough that you can't just mass a "fortdoomstack" in every system.

So if you do use a doomstack, you watch as smaller fleets of quick corvette & destroyer squadrons wreak havoc on your supply lines, blow up your spaceports & blockade your important worlds.

Of course, the AI probably won't be able to make sense of these changes and it won't improve the game.. so idk.

Well, wiz has said at one point that allowing the AI to use loads of small fleets would be a nightmare for the player, so he can do it I reckon, seeing as he is also the AI lead for Stellaris.

Is that even feasible when the AI is cheating all the time?

Wiz also claims the AI isn't cheating, I don't trust a damn word he says.

It would explain why it's shit.
