I'm surprised they actually sell patches alongside the newer jet-type model kits.

It'd be neat if they did, but glass cockpits are having less and less instrumentation, so I'm sure cockpits will just be one big screen like the CFA-44, eventually.

The 2040C can carry up to 16 AMRAAMs.

So according to the wikipedia article, the NF-15B/F-15B ACTIVE is serial number 71-0290 which was the very first F-15B constructed. Yet pic related is the very next F-15B with the serial number 71-0291, which was the same aircraft used as a prototype F-15E. The article implies they're the same aircraft, but says only one was built even though the image description says this one is F-15B No. 2.

I'm confused and I'm hoping some buddies can clarify this for me.

US planes generally don't use canards because They value truth and honesty.

It's not like being visible to radar ever helped anyone shoot down an Eagle. Might as well slap some canards and TVC on the 2040C and call it a day.

I can't imagine the F-15SE getting down into real stealth levels. Those big wings with those big trailing edges are going to be a prime source of non specular traveling wave scatter from head on.

Might be a good match up for the PAK-FA, since both of them are basically 4th gen fighters with a body kit.
