Another thing that bugs me about UNIEL is the way GRID works in defense. The game gives the player who defends against attacks GRID meter, this is supposed to stop the game becoming a "who can keep the opponent in blockstun longest" contest. However I never see the GRID impacting the way the player on offense plays, it's as if they completely ignore the fact that the opponent is gaining GRID from blocking, because opponent GRID gain is not intimidating.
Aside from that, the game seems completely dead in EU. I even joined the UNIEL discord for matchmaking and no one from EU even posts in the netplay matchmaking channel. I would actually play the game if it wasn't deader than Melty. It's a shame because I think it could become one of my favorite games, although who knows, maybe everyone is waiting for ST to release in the west.
