That's what I thought it was going to be at first when when they gave us the premise of the story, I thought the theme of the game would be about fighting corruption from the inside vs from the outside and showing the positive and negative effects of each. I thought Conquest would be about political stuff, trying to find out who are the corrupt officials in Nohr and get proof so you have cause to arrest them, while having to reluctantly keep the Hoshidians at bay and quell rebellions. Instead it's fucking obvious from the start of the game that Garon is evil before you've even chosen a path and Conquest's plot is a fucking mess.

Sure it brings in plenty of new fans...Fans who are also lazy. Jokes aside, there's something about FE that prevents the nips (because let's face it the only artists anyone cares about are Japanese) from latching onto it the same way they would to most other franchises similar to it and it's pretty bizarre. I see a lot of artists who like FE but it's not their hyper fixation and thus they don't draw shit for it.

Roy is actually pretty decent, especially in early-game. What kills him is promotion timing, but he can contribute just fine before that and later can contribute with supports. Once he caps he falls off hard, but he's useful enough and I still find myself using him later in the game simply because of Rapier access giving reliable clears against certain enemies.
