The objective on that map kind of sucks and you have to spend like an hour on the point, especially in AI it's just better to push down lanes and win.

no I mean on PTR my AI teammates will not enter the protector, I try pinging it, I try pinging them, I try entering then leaving the protector to try and put someone else in it, nothing works. It literally just expired on the time limit.

Rocket ride is so insanley good compared to RIP-tire and yet rip tire does less damage.

>activates your passive for even MORE damage
>it almost an entirely safe ult to use
>can't be destroyed
>can be used as a free escape
>the 5 sec respawn tiemr isn't that bad and with the 150% movespeed you are back in combat quickly at full health

Meanwhile
>riptire does less damage
>can be destroyed
>requires you to "channe" it and you can be attacked for free

It's only benefit is the 20 secs less on the cooldown but in no way is that enough to make up for how shit it is compared to rocket ride. Someone on the balance team seriously fucked up

you're not going to destroy the tire, the health is just there to stop you from sniping someone who retreated behind their fort

Junkrat has 70 more hp than tracer at level 1. He's squishy as fuck. Fucking *Raynor* has more hp than him, Chromie too.

His role is basically to sit extremely far in the backline and vomit out grenades and potential aoe stuff.

His basic attack does damage in an area so it's okay for waveclear (3/4 aa's to clear caster + archers), but you don't want to splitpush with him because his damage versus structures is very poor.

On the upside he does have some of the most absurd lategame waveclear I've ever seen with his level 16 splitshot (makes current ammo shoot 2 extra grenades on each shot in a cone-like thing) and the 20 upgrade that improves his grenades and aa splash. With 3-4 shots you can take out one of those gigantic stacked bruiser pushes.

Rocket ride is probably going to be his default ult unless he's in a double-tank & double support comp because he's so absurdly squishy that he really needs to be able to deny kills & come back to fights on a short timer.

Rocket Ride requires you to be playing pretty close if you want it to hit and it has a long cast time.
RIP-Tire can be cast safely fitting with his role as endless poke and then boom.

play someone who can gank them or deny them lane pressure

if you're playing a tank or a healer, you're generally out of luck if your team can't react to split pushing

pick a hero that can solodive and fuck a lone specialist up like Greymane

or just bring a buddy, preferably someone with lockdown so they die like Muradin.

It's Bye-Bye and techies suicide in one. Pretty good.

Riptire knocks things around. If you set it up right you can knock people into your team. Rip-tire also doesn't send you back to spawn.

If you take rocket ride you're going to be holding it until you either need to deny yourself or until you're guaranteed a kill with it.

Rocket ride will probably be correct most of the time, but it's important to note that rip-tire doesn't guaranteed remove you from the fight.

Sit someone in lane against them who has more sustain and can kill them. Someone like thrall, sonya, falstad or dehaka (latter two have globals so can join fights if their team really needs it).

He's extremely weak to anything that hits back, and chromie is valued for the combination of her absurd lategame damage and ridiculous area control; junkrat doesn't really have either.

Don't get me wrong I think he's decent, but he certainly isn't a splitpusher. He's a backline poke, I'd say he's something like a combination of chromie and lunara.

Junkrat has the ability to push out a lane, draw aggro, and then fuck off back to base and rejoin his team in seconds while at the same time finishing off your keep.
And there's little you can do to stop him short of Hunt Illidan or Zeratul instagibs.

I've tested this. Rocket Ride does a little under 50% of a fort's health. Well specifically the trait bombs do most of that damage but that's packed into Rocket Ride anyway.

He is going to play like Chromie but with the ability to do cheeky rat shit.

General consensus of Junkrat is kinda fun but weak.

Forts have 11250 hp, Rocket ride + trait does not do >5000 damage. Keeps have have 14300 hp, rocket ride + trait does not do >7000 damage.

Clearly you haven't tested this, and you're also incapable of basic math. If you want an ult that actually 1shots keeps upgraded laser drill will do the trick as it puts out about 12000 damage over its duration.

Probius' waveclear is better and more consistent than Junkrats.

I did test it but it was in Try Mode.
Maybe the Try Mode fort is just fucked then, wouldn't be surprised.
