Jam-user from the ECPC room here. Out of curiosity, how many EU people do we actually have in /ggg/. I know EU hours are always slower compared to US hours, but it seems like the amount of posters from the EU has significantly shrunk in the last few weeks.

Probably due to the fact that no one puts up rooms for EU games. There have been maybe like 2-3 over the past two weeks compared to nightly US rooms.

I seem to remember EU rooms being more common than US ones back when the general was still relatively new, with a lot of burgers complaining about not enough player rooms. Seems like things really turned around.

Not this time.

I remember there being a regular EU room back when the GG threads were on /v/. I guess whomever was running those didn't switch over to Veeky Forums. Which is understandable, I had (and still kind of have) a lot of reservations about generals as a concept. But at the end of the day even if the risk of things becoming an impenetrable circle jerk will always be there at least a little bit, I'm beginning to think it's worth the risk to actually be able to talk about video games.

I've been on /v/ since 2005 and I have no idea where it all went so wrong. It pretty much became the designated "off topic" board where blatant shitposting threads about fake arguments between disingenuous people are the only real thing that gets posted there. You don't even really have to hide it, as long as you don't post porn as an OP image, your thread stays and if you talk about video games too much, you're sent to Veeky Forums.

That one bad EU Venom here, I haven't been hosting that much lately because I feel there's so much I have to improve on to make playing online feel more enjoyable. I also haven't been able to play as much as I'd have liked to due to all kinds of things happening.

I'm feeling much better than last night. I think I figured out what was missing from my state of mind when playing and my new pad should be in the mail today.

I'll probably practice some Sin BnB combos and then head to work after lunch.

Doesn't look like he has any in-game so despite the wonky art it might actually be accurate.

I got another Hori Fightpad, but this time I got the one that's usable for the Xbone and PC. Out of the box it's the same, but this one is easier to modify and maintain than the PS4/PC one due to having more bits like screws and smaller electronic parts from US standards of hardware. Or more simply put, it's easier to get replacement parts for this one.

It's been a while since I've made hardware modifications so I'm looking forward to doing that again. Don't worry, I'm not doing anything like one button BnB macros, just stuff like button spring elasticity, maybe making the side grips a bit heavier, preference stuff like that. I'm 6'5 IRL and have proportionally huge hands to match. So I tend to have certain preferences for things like pads and sticks.

Okay, but only for a few matches. I need to start making dinner. Fair warning though, I haven't played in a good while.

GGs. Sorry though, I really didn't have time to play much. But it's nice to see that there are other Venom players out there that are around my own level.

Damn, all that time I spent in the lab really didn't show in those couple of matches, nerves got the best of me. GGs regardless, good to know I'm not the only Venom around. I'll be keeping the room open for a while if people want to join.

Hell yeah man, my stick comes in the mail today too. I had a breakthrough with my play this past weekend and I've been really motivated to play ever since.

Probably. But I think the second hit still goes through. I'll have to test it, but maybe it can help stop Leo from advancing with projectile + YRC if it hits him through it on the second hit.

Elphelt is dumb but pretty fun to play.

With the range on beak driver I'm guessing if you're quick on the draw you probably could hit him through it and cancel it, but I imagine the timing would be a little obnoxious if it's the fast projectile.

It's not really possible to break throws on reaction, you have to try to anticipate them.

fuzzy jumping is usually better than mashing.

No it's situational and you'll get throw clashes when they happen, like if you're going to be in the air next to someone or they try to tick throw you etc. The only reactable things are dusts and moves that are like 19+ frame overheads.

Who are you? Identify yourself.

Why not just put up the room anyway and post it here? Worst case, you find no one and then you could just put up a public room and you'll likely get a bunch of people that way.
