Should I continue to roll on the guaranteed Mega banner? I've almost got 200 stones again and this would be my 4th roll. I'm mostly considering because it's a guaranteed Mega, which can be used as fodder for awakening in this game. And Megas seem like they take a while to get since Fragments appear to be rare so it seems prudent to gather Megas where possible.

you might want to hold off at least for now. I mean, there might be another one next time that has something different on it that you might want. at the end of the day Omegamon isn't that hard to get right now.

It raises the Digimon to the max level. Only for their current Digivolution stage.

Gourmet Meat instantly raises your Digimon to the MAX level, no matter the stage. Save it for a Mega is obvious, but you can also choose to save it for a Mega that's been awakened.
There's still buffing your Digimon through enhancing, and raising its friendshid, but it's the same as if you had raised its level and other way.

it means the digimon is already twice awakened, which is pretty good. max its friendship, research with another mega you get down the line, and the baby will be +3, and you can evolve it to anything you want, not just MetalEtemon again. The max is +4.

You can't really grind the Advent Intros like that. You get two shots at Hard so you'll end up with 7 WGM fragments in total and then it closes. The only way you can "farm" it is constantly refreshing coop to see if someone else are there.
You can farm the Easy and Normal versions though, until you decide to do Hard again.

But as for your question you got Daily Quests being pretty similar in drop rate.

Didn't invest when it was Japanese and enjoyed myself when the Advent events circulated.
Now they're giving stuff out for beginners so you can at least easily get a preferred Mega pretty quickly, so you shouldn't need money.

Get your waifu/husbando, give it the most decent legacy skill it can use so you can keep it on your team, and then just go through the normal quests.
Maybe build up a team of decent Megas for eventual PVP and pimp out your island ala farmville, but you can always just play to collect.
