However, he's easily among the best Fixed Dice finishers in the game, since he can imbue his element with a 400% move and then switch to his 750% finisher.
He's also an AoE Fixed Dice finisher, which gives him an unexploited niche.

It is not the case.
Curiously, it only does that every other turn. It builds 0.5x effective modifier, then skips a hit, then builds 0.5x more.

The takeaway being nonelemental sparkchains aren't really capable of capping a chain unless you have a lot of hits. Elemental chaining is still king.

But my two Ashes hit the cap easily when sparking Heaven's Fury in Arena.

He's be top tier if his equipment selection wasn't so shit, as it is he's just pretty good as far as 5* chainers. He also has a niche as a Fixed Dice finisher since he can imbue with an element and imperil.

Not especially, it doesn't have an element so you don't really have a way to raise its damage.
It's only really good for bosses that resist every element. The guy can Wrath and spam it, so there's that.

If it's between those two I think Dark Bond is a bit better, it's the only 50% MAG TMR other than L&A (and not all mages can equip swords) so it's basically futureproof. Prishe's TMR is nice but it's only a 17 ATK upgrade over Black Cowl if you have it, I'd just farm it normally.
