As that guy mentioned above, MP5 in 10mm. It was in the first Rainbow Six game, and I'm pretty certain that was the SMG all the Rainbow operators used in the novel as well.

They don't anymore, but after the 1986 Miami shootout, the FBI believed that they needed a higher power cartridge and switched to 10mm. Not sure which handgun they used but they had MP5s chambered in 10mm, they had straight magazines like UMP .45s use.

I just bought r6 siege and got mute and kapkan, are there any tips for these guys. I feel like my kapkan traps never kill anyone, and idk if my jammers are actually being useful or not.

You'll very infrequently kill people with Kapkan traps. Mute is far more useful, as you can use your jammers to prevent people from breaching reinforced walls. You can also place them near windows to cockblock Fuze.

The FBI used G20's for a short time. Weapon evaluation after the Miami shootout lead them to develop .40 S&W, which is why the FBI standard handgun is now Glock 22 or 23. FBI's HRT used to use the P226, but now use a 1911-family gun, so Siege isn't entirely accurate is giving them the M45, but it's close enough.
