smite really needs to reduce the massive fucking aoe abilities etc no wonder people gravitate to gods with them if you cant fucking miss there abilities compared to others

The returning player experience is decent. I returned from half a year away and got a lot of new gods for no reason (I haven't bought the godpack and only spent $4 on the starter anubis pack) and their recolor skins. The new "meta" has a good pace to it . The queue timers are not long at all.

But the new player experience is garbage. Tried getting my friend into the game and the screenshot shows the new and improved matchmaking.

Is there a good tier listing to take a peek at? I'm sure there's still a selection of overpowered gods in typical hirez fashion. Release Guan Yu was a fun time.

Because Hi-Rez managed to make a matchmaking system that performs worse than true random and refuses to fix it. Once you realise wins/losses don't come from individual skill, but from dice rolls in the matchmaking phase it kind of removes the point of playing.

I guess you could try going to smite.guru and check out tier lists made by "pros". Not really sure myself.
