I considered it, and I decided to stick to the earlier plans I had for the fortress. The harpies could work better if you could recruit them into the fortress instead of kicking them out. Currently, the players are forced to fix if it they want to recruit Rambles, and adding an extra condition to fix the fortress doesn't seem like a good idea right now. Recruiting NPCs to a fixed fortress seems like a better approach to me. Adding ghosts as low level mobs to the fortress is also something I want, maybe lesser versions of the Twisted Ghost from the countryside.
The shorter intro is still in discussion.
