Unusual Voyage had everything set for it and it achieved what it was meant to be. I don't think any SMT will ever top it.

True. I actually think co-op is a great system as it makes alignment actually factor into gameplay. I think if it was refined a bit it could be an excellent system.

The only right answer is I don't keep up with the translation community, but calling "dibs" on something, and not doing it is stupid, and anyone who follows that "rule" is just as bad.

Is there some agreement in the translation community that allows people to "claim" a game that they aren't actively translating?
I could understand preventing simultaneous works, but the guy doesn't release frequent updates of the one he's working on and has no proof of beginning on the others.

Beadman was the only reason there was people in it. He was sending out the invite to different discords for whatever reason.

Knowing Japanese isn't the problem, you have to find someone who knows Japanese AND has the type of personality that enjoys throwing away hundreds of hours on extremely tedious and mentally exhausting work for free.
That second part is the hard one, and probably why so many translators are egomaniacs.
