Started a fresh run on PC if someone wants to hire my pawn. Could use them riftbux.

fresh run. how'd I do. Max height, elf.

the concept will be a elven ranger duo, my main prawn will be a tall female elven ranger. similar in nature, red hair, max height, largest pointed ears. though she'll prob have less scars. maybe hair color will be a bit more vibrant.

PSN: Alucard956

Someone hire my level 52 loli healslut. She was getting lots of RC last week but now not as much :(

Most of the time elves don't have facial hair. Not always, but usually.

>fighting all those living armor with a warrior

absolute madman

...

Maybe he's a mexican elf

it was a good time

There are a surprising amount of level 6 male fighter pawns.

>Still can't just search up pawn names
What he hell, Capcom?

>can't search by inclination

Good skills and good fashion gets ruined by guardian nexus far too often, it's criminal

>/ddg/ is alive
sweet baby jesus is it that time again? guess i'll start a new character on pc tonight

>Unironically playing pc version

So after five and a half bloody years, I decided that with the current gen console release I might as well finally pick up the game. I read the stuff in the OP and did a touch of research, but I still have some questions before going to sleep and buying it when I wake up.

How exactly does height and weight work?
What're your thoughts on Fighter and Warrior? I'm torn between the two.
Is it hard to make a decent looking character?
Is the game just going from point A to point B, or can you have some fun exploring the world?
Will fights get shorter as you level up or will they take a long time?
How many people can you have in your party?
How is the game solo?
But the most important question is: What about the fashion?
Also, how's the Mystic Knight. My friend's interested in the game and he really likes battlemages/spellswords/armamentalists/etc.

Height determines reach, and how easy it is to get soaked in water, weight determines carry weight, stamina regen

Fighter is for careful play, Warrior for offensive play with slow, decisive blows. Could also try magick knight

Depends on what you're going for. It's a great character creator

You can explore basically anywhere at almost any point, but your gear is semi-limited, unless you get lucky with chests, based on what you can buy

Enemies get stronger over time, and challenge increases with your own power. Even once you outlevel everything, Bitterblack exists to beat you back into place

Four. You, your own pawn, and two pawns you hire

It's not co-op, if that's what you mean, but playing without pawns is possible. Only for people who know what they're doing, though

Fashion is number one, bruh

Magick Knight is great

Mistic knight us fucking dope, the move where you jump through the air and strike is cinematic as fuck

>How exactly does height and weight work?
by in large these are the effects of height/ weight. they will be set in your character creation phase.
>dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Character_Height

>What're your thoughts on Fighter and Warrior? I'm torn between the two.
it all depends on your preferred play style. any spec is perfectly viable. especially considering that you'll be playing on normal/ easy difficulty (hardmode has to be unlocked)

>Is it hard to make a decent looking character?
very easy. DD has a rich character creator.

>Is the game just going from point A to point B, or can you have some fun exploring the world?
you can certainly explore and find hidden loot, mobs, quests, npcs. However, while DD is amazing it isn't exactly the largest game world ever made, but lots to see & do.

>Will fights get shorter as you level up or will they take a long time?
a bit of both is to be expected, some smaller mobs will certainly be easier, but as you get stronger and progress through the game the quests, bosses, mobs and events will also become harder. it can also depend on your next question

>How many people can you have in your party?
you can have up to 2 extra pawns that you will summon from the rift. you also create a main pawn. this will be your companion throughout the game, you can set its class, change its gear etc. other pawns will have a vocation already picked out, so you just pick the one that fits into your line up.

>How is the game solo?
Dragons Dogma is a single player game, there is no online multiplayer. if you mean playing without a pawn, it is doable. but it will certainly be harder. especially in the earlier stages.

>But the most important question is: What about the fashion?
lots to be enjoyed

>Also, how's the Mystic Knight.
again, if a class lines up with your favorite style of play then go for it, they're all viable (sure some better than others)

Is it weird for me to be more attached to other players' pawns in DD than I am attached to side characters in games like Dragon Age or FFXV? Where the side characters have story to them.

you mean your turned on by the mindless slave nature of pawns?

or you're just seeing some fine ass looking pawns.

Not when you consider the amount of time you use traveling with them.
In Dragon Age, you fast traveled to a zone and did that, in Dragon's Dogma you literally have to traverse the bloody map countless of times.

Can't really explain it well enough. Maybe it's what said. Being more attached to them because I spend more time with them.

Or maybe it's because I can come up with my own headcanon for the pawns rather than them already having their own backstory to them from the game.

The fact that you can choose what they look like is a plus.

I hypothesize that it's because they're so open to interpretation with basic things like how they look, sound, and what their vocation is.

Post you and your pawn having fun!

Thanks mates!
I'll try to see how Fighter might work out in a more aggressive playstyle. I haven't played the game barring a little bit years ago, but I recall attacking a good amount and blocking when needed. I don't plan on using the Mystic Knight since I just do not like playing characters that use magic in any capacity. Don't know what it is, but nothing beats relying purely on weapons of iron and a will of steel for me. Except pure fisticuffs, but that's not in the game.
I planned on making a fairly generic slightly above average height and somewhat muscular Fighter. I just hope that character weight doesn't make him look fat in armor.
It's nice to know that I can spend time to just explore and go around. If there's something I love, it's going into an area that has me outmatched and getting destroyed constantly until I find that one beautiful nugget of treasure within the deadly catacombs.
With three possible pawns, I'm not sure on what I'd want in my party. I know a Sorcerer would be there because seeing those huge spells is awesome, but I don't know about the other two.
Yeah, I meant playing without a pawn. I've heard that their banter can get very annoying. And I just wanted to know if the pawn just happened to be thrown off of a cliff, I would be able to not get absolutely demolished.
That's amazing about the fashion. I can't wait to experiment and inevitably fall to using a full set because my creativity sucks. I just pray that there are some nice helmets that completely cover your face. I don't know what it is, but I love putting a lot of effort into a character just to cover it up with a helmet.
I really should be getting some sleep. I'll go and grab the game first thing in the morning. Good night.

131 Fighter, anyone mind telling me if hes trash or not? I just want more bestiary kills and RC, feel free to send a friend request if you don't want to pay the RC. Hardmode really does overlevel the shit out of you.

Hey buddy I think you got the wrong door, the leather club's two blocks down

>Except pure fisticuffs, but that's not in the game

Patiently waiting for fournival to get the hell out of the quarantine zone.

Someone should make a Shadman pawn so every time it gets posted in this thread everyone will reply
>Shadman

haven't been able to play for the past few days so here's my PSN : ImbaProtoss, cute lvl28/29 Ranger for hire

Kindly fuck off

seeing lots of people saying to take shield skills off my pawn, but whenever i do he just spams DM until hes out of stamina. will he eventually stop doing that or am i just supposed to put up with it?

>still no grace

How many hearts?

You can't force people to say Grace before dinner, user.

It was only down 3 health bars last I checked.

...

It's truly, truly been a roundabout path. Thank you, Gyro.

forgot pic, the left one.

>pawn finally has high anodyne and sex hair
Feels good, man.

>sex hair

What's the best looking head piece for the oblivion set?

I want a fucking monk class so goddamn bad. I want to punch Gregory in his giant dragon Heart

Pray DD2 gets made and includes the Alchemist from DDO

>tfw no pikeman class
>tfw no wheellock rifles
>tfw no crossbows
>tfw no roll for every class or at least defensive options for all of them

Are sapfire daggers better than heaven's keys for general low stratum bbi?

double teaming this goblin shaman for every spell wasted on shits of his kind

Griffith huh? Looks like a guy that did nothing wrong.

Okay you guys who own these pawns... I took them on adventures and have returned them.

The redhead Mage tried her best.
The goblin is a little asshole.

I'm still new, if you see this let me know what kind of RC you got so I know what I did was worth.

>tfw when you're an obscure-but-slowly-growing-in-"fanbase-youtube/streamer guy but you're too self-aware to shill it so you just make a post about it on the imageboard you love to repair some of your insecurities

I'll take your semen demon for a spin.

Share it you faglord. You know you want to.

Don't be a bitch. Shill your stuff. What's the worst that could happen, you get publicly humiliated by your peers?

user, please stop sucking your own dick

thanks man :D

Just found a hairstyle I hadn't tried on her before, Reginald. Unf. I understand Daimon a little better now.

>The redhead Mage tried her best
I'm so proud. She's improving Slowly but steadily. Thanks again for taking her out. Nothing has shown up yet, but I'll let you know when it does.

Do it anyway. Let's see what you've got.

What inclinations and skills and augments to make my sorcerer NOT suck? Please respond, I have a good idea about most of the vocations but sorcerer never ever work out somehow. Skills should include Gicel and Bolide as I found a Ring that boosts both earlier today and it's the sole reason I'm gonna make my pawn a sorc

So is there any sluttier stuff I can dress him up with? Probably going to switch him back to mage after running through sorc so he can go back to being a healslut

>mfw after 300 hours I first realize that if you grapple on top of something it won't drain any stamina

fuuuuuuuuuuuck, I would always grab everything from the side or underneath, even the Ox on the way to Gran Soren, turns out if I just climb all the way on top to rest on their bodies I can hold on indefinitely

I did not know this. Yesterday I also learned about that "sweet-spot" release on warrior swings/ranger shots for the ACTUAL extra damage

Okay fuck this. I'm thinking of switching from Magick Archer to Mystic Knight. I don't hate hate Magick Archer, it just feels like I'm not doing that much damage in BBI.

What's the best way to level up a vocation?

Everyone else has covered most of your questions fairly succinctly, I'd like to include Assassin as another red vocation, it allows you to play fighter style but with a higher emphasis on single target damage. Another to consider if the basic sword style is your jam.

go back to mainland, if youve done the main quest up to the part where you "Murder" the duke you can go up to the castle to get infinite angry guards to spawn, they however cant climb anything so just stand on top of a fence or something and afk for a while and let your pawns have fun at the practice range

That stamina drain is well worth it when he destroys the devilfire drake in 4 swings rather than drumming his shield in its face for 17% of the fight

So I forced my Drow fighter to become a Eurotrash Mage(Slut) so I can make the utilitarian Mage I need.

I mostly just want a Mage that will buff my warrior for a change. Is it even worth it? Am I irreconcilably damaging his masculinity? Is this going give him an insatiable thirst for cock? These are serious questions.

A guy mage is either a bitchboy slut, a quiet mvp teammate or a reluctant support character if you judge by how people play "support" classes in games like D&D

That sounds fun to watch.

Reminder to post your pawns and rental info

PSN: SeasonalWeasel
Level 48 Utilitarian/Challenger

I think she was a Fighter last I rested, she'll be a Strider otherwise.

>Not running battle cleric and smiting the unclean across the lands

PSN: Gidrolo
Pawn: Andalt, 23-25 Strider, will go up soon.

Same pawn on PC, level 80 and well geared for BBI

PSN: captaincabbage
Pawn: Wulfe level 38-ish Warrior at the moment.

He's done pretty much all his levels before level 30 as a Fighter. When I change him back to Fighter he will look dope as fuck, as I finally got around to searching for the silver breastplate and I'm gonna set him up as a Gladiator-styled fighter.

Oh reluctant support. I can get behind that. Constantly complaining that he doesn't get to carry a sword.
"Heal me!"
"I... don't want to say the words."
"Come on!"
"No."
"I'm *cough* dying here!"
"...Fine. Neosporinar Antibioticus."
"Lol you sound like a fag."

Medicant/Nexus

>exploring all over bluemoon tower
>that whole mini-dungeon in normal game everfall
I keep finding new shit to this game

sell this ring or use it yourself. pawns are dumb as fuck with those boosted skills and never ever use them

How do I kill Death if she shows up unexpected and I'm not prepared for him (prepared = being a ranged class with 100 blasst arrows and conquerer periapts stack)

Just hit him hard enough till he leaves. He's a huge chump who can't do anything except teleport behind you can cast sleep.

what happens when you do come to court with the jester cap already equiped

Scather/Challenger

Run. If you're next to a door that loads into the next area, go through it and go back. I'm pretty sure he'll de-spawn from that area and spawn the next encounter.

Also restarted on PC, he has 3 star knowledge in everything but Seneschal

Post your level 25-30-ish pawns on PS4 please. Looking for a "support" type mage and a balls/tits-to-the-wall fighter/warrior to compliment my strider/strider gameplay. Gonna have a nice and cozy friday night binge of the old dogma. Live

are level 200 pawns allowed?

Of course, I'm aiming to get everyone to post their pawns so the general has a wide range of useable rentals across levels

LEMEMEPOOP

Pawn's name is Catherine
Level 27 Warrior Scather/Challenger

If I'm playing completely offline, will pawns still get all the RC I've made when I send them back?

Hired, except a lot of Riftbucks once I'm done with this cutie.
She was super easy to find, surprised how the game can hold up on that regard, just searched by level and bang, she was right there, I guess PS4 might not be as populated as PC. Are they adding cross-platform pawns or am I just misremembering?

Oh, also looking for that support mage and then it's all good to go

PSN: Medkitz-
Vocation: Strider
Level: 200
Inclinations: Scather/Challenger
Pawn Name: Acerola

I just figured out that you can mine ore deposits without a pickaxe. You can just throw something explosive towards it

Or whack them with a big weapon as a warrior!

I have a lvl 18 loli mage for offer. It's my first time doing a character simply for RC gains so I made her a small little girl and twinked her with nice looking robes. She's wearing the staff that allows her to rez herself because she's a little klutz.
Also she has ZERO knowledge because all I did so far was start a new game, get the vocation ring from BBI, reset and do it all again. Did that 3 times now and gonna do it again. She has no proper inclinations because of this and I can't even buy the potions (yet). But I'll work on her the whole day and get some passives in etc. so if you hire her and refresh in two hours she'll be better suited for the job. Skills as of now are Anodyne, Halidom, Brontide, Holy Affinity , Fire Affinity and the standard rank 3 boosted Ingle
Her name is Tara, she's lvl 18

I thinking about starting again and have warrior pawn this time. What's the easiest way to get him a golden hammer for memes and silence sake? Preferable on the 10lvl.
Or begging here for trade is the only opinion?

Got her and Thanks friends.

They're live @
twitch.tv - gidrolo

>Warrior Pawn
I'd advise against that, they're by far the most useless pawns in my opinion. Mostly because they really fucking suck at using their charge skills which is really the only thing warriors are even good for.

But to answer your question. The easiest and probably fastest way as far as I can tell to get a golden hammer is by giving Ser Serdic (Guard at the western gran Soren Gate) a bunch of foreign knives and then do his escort quest for teeth of gold.

I'll watch for a bit user

so how's the PS4 version? identical to the pc port? runs well with no problems?

Fashions Dogma.
What is the best fashion for male and female and male (female)? and female (male)?

Asian version of the game has JP voice over other versions don't also it has cooler box art.
Frame rate is capped at 30fps even on PS4 pro.
