The reason people don't play control isn't because it gets countered by Dshift, it's because Control is fucking shit.
Back when Control was good, people actually played it even though it had a terrible matchup against dshift.
Nowadays there is zero point to playing control because your Good Matchups are all uphill battles and you Bad Matchups are still just as terrible.

Now meme kids, the adult is here. Dshift is a threat not only to control decks but every creative deck and non-storm and highroll decks such as Neutral Lion, for instance. Aggro, early OTK or semi-OTK and Last words aka uneferd Midrange Shadow are basically what can get a chance to kill Dshift, and by Aggro I mean Storm and Burn face with good curve. Dshift is cancer, the same way as Aggro. PDK will be fine without the bullshit 1pp amulet, aside from that the meta is shit right now because of Sword and Sword alone.

Control is fine, and should exist as a soft counter to aggro. It's not shit in itself by any means and has been prominent in tournament play for a while. It's simply made unviable on ladder by literally unwinnable matchups.
Roach is a similar offender but I'm going to be lenient since that can be prepared for with wards

The good matchups are not uphill battles by any means when some are over 70% in winrate, you have no idea how this game is on a meta level whatsoever.

Dshift can counter any attempt to build against it by teching in a variety of cards. No deck can tech cards to counter Dimensional Shift. If Dshift can counter it, it doesn't screw the deck over.

eh, as AggroSword going second turn2 Whole Sword Swing it's already a big tempo lose, then the wards come and AggroSword lose soo much speed by turn6 i get slowed too much and can't simply recover unles you topdeck every response to get the tempo back
