The trade system in EU4 might be enjoyable. V2 people tend to hate it for its' stupid non-realism though...which is very legitimate criticism, but does make one wonder why they enjoy V2s system.

Mostly just small quality of live improvements I guess. The ability to adjust the maintanence on individual armies and navies would be nice. It's retarded having to pay for the tens or hundreds of thousands of troops in your nation when dealing with trouble in a colony on the other side of the planet.
Rebels could also be tweaked as they can cause some pretty absurd situations in the current game. When the militant socialists rise up each year for seven consecutive years only to be slaughtered each time you think they would be less willing to revolt for the eighth time.
A basic logistics system would also be neat as the military side of the game could use some more depth and there should be something to stop Germany marching armies through Russia into China.
