Being the president for some reason makes you aware that DDLC is just a game and also gives you the ability to mess with the code. It's also possible that the other characters can become sentient, but only in response to the actions of the president. (i.e. if Monika hadn't been messing with the game the other characters would have followed the script to the letter, but Natsuki demonstrates some form of awareness when she shows you that letter asking for help)

So basically to get the good ending I have to keep reloading the game to get all the girls CGs before Sayori kills herself? Is that right?

I loved Sayori's poems the most. I had to stop playing for a bit after reading both of her poems because of how much they spoke to me.

The only thing you need to do in Act 2 is write your first poem for Yuri if you're following the "efficient" route in the OP. But if you reloaded and got all three CGs for each girl then there's nothing more you need to do in Act 2.

In the secret ending Sayori gains the knowledge its a game but instead of abusing it to trap you in the room she thanks you for spending the time with all the girls to make them happy. So i don't thing that being the president is all bad.

Really sucks that's how it has to be. It's true that even if we did get to then continue on with an entirely normal VN with good endings and proper routes, that it'd still have to end at some point. But it's still better to have been loved, than to have never at all. Especially with the 4th wall being broken, it feels like we could have a closer connection with the characters. Like imagine a time where each character could get to be the president and understand who (you) really are. I'd love to see how they react to that and end up interacting with you because of that knowledge. Without the glitches and fucked up tendencies.
