AROUND ELVES

First for Fane.

I play on Explorer with cheat mods and Lone Wolf and and infinite Source Points and no scaling.

Get. On. My. Level.

>[UNDERAGE] *Continue to deathgrip your dick as you tip your fedora to this fine gentleman*

How are you all building your Rogue characters?

I know 1 point in Poly for Chameleon Cloak and Chicken Claw is great. I know that certain Warfare skills are okay as well and that Warfare > Scoundrel for per point damage gain. Am I missing anything else? Any magic schools worth dipping a point or two in for buffs/utility?

post cool places to sit

It's 100% worth dipping two points in Huntsman for First Aid and Tactical Retreat, and use it for its namesake.

>Chameleon + Cloak & Dagger into combat and stab fuckers
>Tactical Retreat out when things get hairy

Reached Driftwood at Level 9 but enemies are level 12. Have I missed something because 3 level difference implies there's some shit I should have done before freeing Meiser.

so you ask me how i build a character build that spends half the fight idling or moving into position, to then get oneshot as soon as chameleon cloak is on cooldown?
simple, i put points into pyromancer asap so i can cast haste, so i can run faster to the respec mirror and respec him into a build that doesn't suck ass

Can Polymorph be used as a Primary Skill or does it need something else to go with it?

Driftwood is balanced really poorly. There's level 9 areas but reaching them is unintuitive. You know that bridge near the first Waypoint, the one with the kid throwing rocks at voidwoken on? You can warp onto the boat docked on the other side of the bridge by using a teleport or throwing one of your pyramids over to it. It opens up Stonegarden Gaveyard which is full of level 9-11 quests.

>I suck and need to be babbied by my OP Huntsman/2H builds
Rogue is the most rewarding melee class.

>regular incarnate without buffs

It happens its the script

projecting won't make rogues any better

I did end up there first but I thought I'd backtrack after I got raped by a doggo and his level 12 skelly summons. I'll go back and look around some more.

>*nuthin personel in*
>Kill two enemies with crits
>*pssh out*

With the right amount of Persuasion, you can make the magister fuck off before freeing Meistr, but if you happen to get into the fight, it's best to just flee.
Then go to the area west of Driftwood. That's where the level 10s are. Though, you should fuck around Driftwood a bit to get the relevant quests.

>explorerbaby talking about how winning a fight is "rewarding"
with a rogue in your party, i'm not surprised

there is absolutely no way you're killing two enemies with 6 AP above explorer mode
the reality is you don't even manage to break the first enemy's armor because he's got his back against the wall and then you run away from the fight because you already blew your whole load in a single turn and adrenaline causes your next turn to be useless
and here's a tip: mentioning lone wolf will only deepen the whole you've dug yourself into

explore the town, there's at least a level and a half's worth of fightless experience to get in there

What are you playing on?

...

>He's got his back against the wall
Am I the only person who had this happen maybe once, or are you people just that shit at baiting enemies to move away from shit that'll impede you?

>Spemd all AP buffing a summon

Please, I only need Magic armour on bone widow and it's good to go.

Are we playing the same game? If you dump every point into Warfare and only put a few in Scoundrel for skills you can very easily delete an enemy per turn without Lone Wolf or Glass Cannon as a rogue on Tactician difficulty.

Late game you can delete even bosses in a single turn with Chameleon Cloak + Mortal Blow. Yes, Rangers can do the same thing with Arrow Storm but it doesn't make rogues any less good or fun to play.

Can I still enter the Council of Seven even if I kill both Alexandar and Sallow Man? Alexandar claims he dindu, but he didn't change at all. Black Ring is too evil for me and I slapped their shit all the time so it would feel weird to join them now.

Just ignore him, he's a brainlet who can't cope when an enemy's back is against the wall.

...

>Am I the only person who had this happen maybe once
happens every other fight past act 2, especially when every enemy has his own teleport
halfway through act 3 i got fed up with that shit and just replaced him with a merc
>or are you people just that shit at baiting enemies to move away from shit that'll impede you?
hurr durrr what are ranged enemies

Wow, you can oneshot shit with a 3SP spell, fucking amazing, just like fucking Rangers, Aerotheurges, Pyromantics, and literally every other build in the game bar Necromancers.

>no argument
>samefag with ad homs instead

Friendly reminder that Lohse being the womb of demons and being impregnated by Adramahlikh's tentacles multiple times is canon.

>believing what eldritch creatures tell you at face value
friendly reminder that your retardation is canon

He doesn't smoke if you don't weaken him. I think.

...

nice

Don't be so tsun-tsun, Lohse-chan.

>Every enemy has teleport!
So do you. Get gud.

>start combat
>tell your buddies you'll go for the squishy caster, in true rogue fashion
>enemy teleports himself out of range, back against the wall
>waste an entire turn moving closer to his position
>by now your ranger has killed an enemy and broken another's armor
>get your teleport man to waste half his turn's AP to move him into a backstabbing position
>finally get an attack off, blow all your load, stick an adrenaline boost in there too
>he doesn't die because you're not playing babymode difficulties
>do an autoattack next turn to pretend you're not useless
>enemy turns around magically between casting his last ability and ending his turn
>now your ally is in the middle of the backstab cone
>there's just enough spot for you to fit in there
>hover over the enemy, it's a backstab icon, perfect
>or so you think
>click on enemy
>character leaves the backstab cone and does a regular attack
>at this point your ranger is deliberately skipping his turns so you don't feel bad about yourself when not pickpocketing things
>rupture tendons, he'll probably run away now that the rest of your party is flanking him to help you dish out damage, but since you're a non-opportunist cuck you'll need some way to compensate for that
>instead of moving, he decides to attack you
>"rez plz"
>go on Veeky Forums and swear to god you've never seen a wall in your life

>waste an entire turn moving closer to his position
>Don't have Cloak and Dagger
>Don't have Tactical Retreat
>Don't have Nether Swap or Teleport

>implying you can get any attack of significance off with 2, maybe 3AP

>kill Adramahlikh
>youtube.com/watch?v=BT55lcCatMc starts playing
wtf I love Lohse now

>Backlash is 1AP
>Sawtooth Knife is 2AP
>Mortal Blow is 2AP
>Sleeping Arms is 2AP
>Rupture Tendons is 2AP

I killed both and got the info I needed no problem thanks to ghosts and knife-ear cannibalism.
Hell, you can actually get in without having had any interaction with them.

>>go on Veeky Forums and swear to god you've never seen a wall in your life
why am i laughing so hard at this

>wasting debuff attacks when you haven't even broken through the armor
nigger are you for real?

The only debuffs there are Sleeping Arms and Rupture Tendons, and the latter ignores armor.

>put all my points in str/twohanded/warfare
>Hitting for like 300 per 2 ap before act 1 is done
how do you even do badly at this game? Are you putting points in a non damage stat or some shit?

Sleeping Arms ignores armor too, look it up.

Also Sawtooth Knife only has its bleed blocked, pure still fucks enemies hard.

>Miss!

>game used to have proper portraits
WHY WHY WHY

what is the most braindead class to play?

but that's wrong

Summoner

>ME SUMMON INCARNATE
>ME DUMP SPELLS ON INCARNATE
>ME MOVE INCARNATE
>INCARNATE PUNCH ENEMIES

Physical with some splash in necro and poly.

Eh, they must have fixed it. I abused the fuck out of that skill on my initial run.

Whats an assriping magic spec for lone wolf fane?

Was thinking necro, pyro, geo.

wut physical?

is there a mod out for this?

We talk a lot about what is and isnt useful
but can we all agree
the least useful item is trap disarming kits?

use one on dallis. thank me later.

100% agreed on that. 99% of traps can be disabled by a fucking barrel or just being shot by a crossbow.

Wrong. Spears exist in the game.
>scale with FIN
>Warfare ok
>Huntsman skills require a ranged weapon
>Scoundrel skills require daggers

Dude, spears are great. Putting points in Finesse and the extended range means you get amazing Opportunist moments when in a crowd of enemies, and you have far more efficient movement than a regular strength character.

If they didn't change Polymorph to be only Strength then Spears would be 10/10.
They still aren't that bad and you can utilize chloroform if you are running a hybrid party and the bonus range on stuff is nice for whirlwind etc.

Does ranged skill increase physical and magic ranged damage? or only physical

High Ground bonus affects both, Ranged is only Physical.

Just because you can't use damaging spells from the magic schools doesn't mean you shouldn't put points in them, you know.
Pikemen are GOAT if used correctly, especially in a magic focused party. Get annoying as shit auras that force enemies to run around like headless chickens and eat your attacks of opportunity, like Smoke Cover and Vacuum Aura from Aerotheurge. Evasion aura helps keep yourself alive too.

What about most useless skill though?
>Summon Oil Blob
>a summon with no abilities at all, only regular attacks
>oil is bound to get turned into necrofire sooner or later

not even up for discussion

>Strength Summoner can use it to help with bonus damage and create oil to suck up for physical armor or for a mage to use for oil
This one is harder.

>oil blob
>earth damage summon
>polymorph instead of geo

This is wrong on so many levels.

Most fun class to play?

Is there any way to get to that chest down there or the devs are just sadists?

there's a telekinesis skill isn't there

>Maddened
>Charmed
Let me play the game!

What do you mean? You need to pyramid out there to move the pipes for the puzzle, just grab the chest while you do that.

PEACE OF MIND AND ENRAGE ARE YOU FRIENDS, NIGGER

i'm stumped trying to find a use for this.
i guess you could use it out of combat to pick up hidden chests, avoiding the teleport bullshit, but it's probably easier to just teleport the character and pyramid back instead of fucking around with your memorized skills, or the actual fucking chest, especially since you should have teleport bound anyway
i guess you could also use it to remove dangerous barrels from play, but you'll have a fun time getting overburdened if doing it on a non-STR character, unless for some insane reason you're a STR aerotheurge

i'd name pic related as the runner up though
>immune to suffocation (a debuff that only appears once in the entire game during the Advocate fight, and only on tactician mode)
>immunity from cloud effects
>including positive effects like poison cloud healing for undead, blessed poison regen for the living, invisibility from blessed smoke, including your own
>doesn't make you immune to deathfog

is it worth devoting one point to Pyro for haste purely for your own benefit if nobody in your party has it?

It's more worth having Peace of Mind, Haste is just a nice bonus alongside of it. PoM cures Charmed and Mad.

How the fuck do I get the source puppets to stop spawning I just want to finish the damn game.

>Vaporize terrain
>Safely walk through it
Literally the only thing I could see.

You can move them with the altar too(2nd option).

source vampirism one shots them and can be used on their corpses too

Peace of Mind also gives you 5+ bonus stats in all the main attributes it's a very good buff

oh, damn, didn't know about that.

I killed them all but they just keep respawning one at at time so I can't activate the damn levers.

Okay I will keep that in mind for future. On this encounter though, my maddened character used Charm grenade on my other companions. They were attacking each other automatically and I had no control over them.

yeah that fight took me a really long time just use source vampirism on them or their corpses until they stop popping back up

When can I respec my companions? Fane is really fucking with me. He's all Pyro and I'm a Necromancer and all of his abilities burn the blood I need to heal. I want to put him in air or water. Which ever have the best ranged abilities.

I guess you're right. At what point of the game do those statuses start appearing? I've only just got to Sanctuary.

Aero is better for mage parties since blood can be electrified
Hydro gives you blood rain and down the road blood storm which is physical but great damage
Both are good and you might consider a few points in both. You can respec once you hit Act 2.

I want to play as undead but losing the civil skill racials bother me to no end, why is that even a thing.

stop being autistic, the civil skills are garbage and/or useless past 5 anyway

If you are okay with modding Civil Skill Aura fixes all the hiccups with civil skills.
>Barter is party wide
>Persuasion characters can get an ability to buff someones Persuasion for the course of a conversation
>Buyable Pet Pal talentbook
>Lucky Charm aura book so it affects everyone within 50m
