I think usually its implied a 3rd axis is present, however its control is limited/simplified, or another axis controls are simplified.

good call. a jetpack mechanic maybe? or a controlled descent type thing? like, you hold space and it makes you fall slower. this would also help with:

interesting point. it does also depend on the speed of the rocket, and the size of the players hit box right? and if ou had some form of air control, it would give players options in avoiding rockets.

You do realise each general has it's own culture and way of doing things, these mods have to deal with OP autism shittery and thread wars all the time and each General especially ones with as long a history as /agdg/ have their own standard for what is a shitpost and what isn't.
Keeping the old one is the simplest and fairest way of doing things.
You should have seen how bad it got a few years ago when the ss13 general had 3 different server hosts(and their supporters) vying for control as 4chans official ss13 server whilst one ban dodging retard constantly spammed all the threads and made his own thread with "FREE KINGSTON" in the OP just to get attention.
Eventually mods just decided to delete all ss13 server threads for a 24hr period until they got their shit together.
If you expect mods to keep up with your specific brand of thread autism when the average agdg person can't then you're delusional.
