so this.. is the power..... of magick "archer".................
Zachary Cox
I just did the quest under the Pawn Guild after arriving at Gran Soren. Whats the best thing to go do next? Wyrm Hunt stuff?
Connor White
Doing wyrm hunt stuff early is a good idea especially if you're playing a caster, since you eventually get the wyrmking ring from that. Otherwise just whatever you feel like, the quests in the game are fairly shitty so I suggest selecting based on rewards and just exploring and leveling up a bit while doing the wyrm hunt quests.
Blake Evans
>tfw someone messaged me saying they like my pawn
Lucas Parker
If I ferrystone out of the everfall, can I just fuck myself back in? Is the Inn gone in Gran Soren? How do I do shit? Everything is scary
Andrew Mitchell
The inn has been relocated to the Pawn guild You can leave the Everfall at any time and just jump back in when you want Explore the overworld a bit, there's some new enocunters in Bluemoon, Devilfire, and the Conqueror's arena area.
Ian Harris
Yes, just be sure to do all four of them. You only need to do two to advance things, but they're fun.
The ring comes later from an Alduous quest doesn't it?
Jaxon Nelson
>Conqueror's arena nani I have never been here, where's that?
Jaxon Rogers
Asalam will be in the Pawn Guild. You can access the Everfall either by jumping in or via pawn guild
Daniel Johnson
I can only imagine what that's like after 190 levels of Assassin.
Andrew Ross
I think he means the Proving Grounds, below the Shadowfort. There'll be a quest on the Cassardis notice board.
John Smith
...
Luke Wilson
I imagine it's about 4 seconds faster. Maybe I'll find out, I'm doing an assassin run right now.
Connor Garcia
>tfw people send your pawn back naked and with a large bone as a gift
Bentley Sanchez
>actually sending you their large bone that's some creepy ass van gogh shit, you're supposed to send a large nut
Jaxon Cox
>tfw someone gives me 1 star in battle, 1 star in helpfulness, but 5 in appearance T-thanks
Julian Diaz
How do I make a cyclops drop it's club? I've tried hitting its arm/hand that's holding it, but to no avail.
Thomas James
Is it the one to kill a gorechimera?
Julian Wright
>tfw strongly considering making my pawn a warrior just so he can wear the cyclops helm
Austin Hall
People can't see if you send their pawn back naked, can they?
Brayden Sanchez
Post pawn pick up lines. Be mine or I'll feed you to the Brine

I wonder if Bloodwater Beach was ever important. You get down there, it has its own location name, someone has apparently set up camp, and... nothing.
Gransys is so empty sometimes it hurts
Gabriel Turner
Shill pawns
Luis Thompson
You get a message that asks you if you want to keep your pawn wearing the gifts they got. If they send her back with a silk lingerie, a silver chestplate and a large bone, im going to assume they stripped her and busted a nut.
Austin Carter
Level 50 sorceror named Zoltan, armed with a nuclear array and a Holy Boon if you want it, can be swapped out no problem for something else
What's the fastest way to level 1-100? I just got the game again on ps4 after years on 360 and getting instakilled by bandits while i do no damage is making me consider going back to the old system
Chase Morris
Fuck, wrong pic.
Adam Sanchez
Alrighty
PC Bullet Lvl84 or 85 Utilitarian/Challenger/Mitigator Ranger with two barbed nails for knockback and a lot of bulk to carry all your stuff on those long BBI trips. An attempt was made to have him look robotic, but there wasn't much to work with so this is the best he's got.
Nolan Campbell
should i do mystic knight or warrior for a first play through? someone said both but i don't really know how that works. which would be the more interactive of the two? and should i wait til im later level in fighter or just switch classes now?
Jonathan Cooper
Cheese the shit out of hard mode bbi with throwblasts. You get enough money to buy more from mainland merchants so you aren't limited to respawning the 18 near the gazer.
Adam Smith
>Going to the greatwall >2 gorecyclops >"Ok, this is hard but still..." >Death appears No. No. Just no.
Samuel Adams
I'm a Warrior at the moment and I'm currently using Judgement, but I would really like to use the Two-Hander. Unfortunately it won't let me equip it. Any idea whats going on guys?
Ryder Barnes
You can change classes at will for a small fee when you get to the big city, test them all out.
Joseph Rogers
You can change vocation at any time. Play Fighter until you're bored of Fighter then switch to MK or War until you're bored of either one then switch.
Wyatt Lewis
You can switch classes at any time with no pentalty. Honestly just try anything you want (give it a few ranks before giving up to see some of the cooler skills) and if you don't like it just switch back. You can do it at an inn after lvl10
God damn this really could have been a once in a generation game.
Fucking Capcom.
Samuel Lopez
We were gonna go to the fuckin moon? Shit there aint even a moon in the game anymore
Landon Sanchez
Can you imagine the pawn quotes on the moon?
Sebastian Cooper
>God damn this really could have been a once in a generation game. IMO it still was.
Connor Fisher
It is at least a twice in a generation game. Breath of the Wild
Parker Rivera
Great game but didn't even come close to DD m8
Jose Martin
>Breath of the Wild >Zelda anything Opinion verily discarded.
Dominic Gonzalez
>Mind you oxygen, Arisen. The moon has naught atmosphere, thus- *suffocates and returns to the rift*
Henry Ross
That goblin came from the moon.
Henry Long
>doesn't like Zelda >talks about discarding opinions
Jace Ross
>Soaring stone on the moon [muffled "What a gaffe" in the distance]
Dylan Cox
Apart from lacking a class system so you could basically only play as assassin, it was like a more polished DD in most ways.
Stop projecting.
Angel Gray
BOTW had a better open world for sure, but the dungeons and bosses were fairly disappointing for a Zelda game desu
Henry Edwards
The porn its generated is fantastic so ill give it that.
Wyatt Richardson
>it was like a more polished DD in most ways user that's bullshit. The weapons are laughably simple, there are a handful of enemies in the entire game, minibosses are shit, NPC interactions are meaningless and there are few memorable characters and the ones that are memorable are in the game for about 5-10 minutes and have a few lines of dialogue. It's a very fun game, but if you're comparing it to DD, it executes the same idea in a much poorer way. Zelda isn't even an RPG while DD has a thorough armor and class system with lots of things to think about. Thankfully there are other things that it does better like visuals (albeit in a totally different style so it's somewhat silly to compare) and exploration. And easter eggs.
Elijah Lee
I'm directly comparing it to DD though, not other Zelda games. It doesn't have to be better than every other game that has ever been made in the ways those games were good, or even other Zelda games, to be a good game. That's the cancerous "this is going to be the last game I ever have to buy because it's going to do everything and even suck my dick in real life" hype train mindset.
Elijah Johnson
Are you trying to suggest that Link in BotW comes close to having the complexity and customisation of even a single class in DD? Or the combat in general, for that matter? Are you fucking high?
Gabriel Fisher
>The weapons are laughably simple >there are a handful of enemies in the entire game >minibosses are shit >NPC interactions are meaningless >there are few memorable characters and the ones that are memorable are in the game for about 5-10 minutes and have a few lines of dialogue wait are you talking about Breath of the Wild or Dragon's Dogma
Leo Garcia
Yes, and BotW is a great game in its own right, but comparing it to DD as an action-adventure RPG is nothing short of hilarious
Henry Powell
Epic meme user, but one of those games clearly does those things a lot better than the other, even if it in turn does it worse than other games
Jeremiah Thomas
>but one of those games clearly does those things a lot better than the other So one can assume you talk about Dragon's Dogma then.
Brayden Rodriguez
(You)
Jack James
They're very different games. Both of them great, but one's focus is combat, the others is exploration.
Blake Collins
Take out the, "for a Zelda game," part and he's still right.
Colton Reed
You aren't wrong, they are focused slightly differently but they are similar games overall.
Luke Cook
Yeah. It's not like DD have some major flaws. Perfect game superior to anything. Truly dark souls of witcher series. Cease it.
Jayden Lopez
The green tint and Ash in the air in post game is a remnant of the old quest system. We we're supposed to blow up the moon towards the end of the main quest line, and that is where the falling Ash is coming from. All got scrapped however, just leaving the gloomy weather to work with.
Xavier Davis
What the fuck Capcom?
Jaxson Rivera
No one said that, no one even came close to saying anything like that. Get a fucking clue.
Jaxson Gomez
Well than maybe I failed to find that much similarities, but we can agree that DD is a very original game, and that's why we love it, but it makes any sort of comparisons problematic.
>Truly dark souls of witcher series Made me chuckle
Anyway, this Anons right, I love DD to bits, bought is 3 times, but don't pretend it's not broken in places
Logan Richardson
>one of those games clearly does those things a lot better than the other DD does weapons better (by dint of having more of them, and class-specific skills that don't usually fit into combos but are instead spammable moves, though comparing, say, DD's sword to BotW's sword, they're extremely similar and you can additionally throw the sword in BotW) and minibosses (but not by much). BotW does all of the other things you mentioned better. I can't believe someone could even think DD's NPC interactions were better than anything else's, in both games NPCs are mostly just there to convey limited information but in BotW they also have a bit of unique personality per character and give quests directly instead of the player picking them all up at once from a notice board and completing them passively because they're all "kill x of y." And both games have about the same amount of enemy variety (ie very, very little, sadly).
Anyway, BotW combat is extremely similar to assassin combat in DD. It may not have other classes but you can stop pretending it's way shallower than assassin (which is, incidentally, one of the more nuanced classes in DD). The fact that DD is the main game that BotW drew inspiration from and then sought to reconcile that with the Zelda setting is very readily apparent.
Replace it with, "compared to Dragon's Dogma," and he's suddenly very, very wrong.
Tyler Martinez
>this Where is this brainlet large bone meme coming from?
Dominic Reed
Large bone(r). Boner is a term for an erect penis, referencing the penis's resemblance to a long, straight bone.
Jacob Kelly
I fucking love reading up on what DD should'we been. Never fails to make me hope for some sort of sequel.
Isaac Hughes
>one of those games clearly does those things a lot better than the other, even if it in turn does it worse than other games And here me who love DD, but never touch Zelda and dislike it in general. So what sort of clue i shoud get?
Julian Ramirez
Skills and classes alone make DD combat unquestionably more fun and complex than BotW's """"combat"""". There is no comparison. >don't usually fit into combos but are instead spammable moves I'm sorry that you don't know how to play the game I guess but it isn't the game's fault
>minibosses Compared a cyclops to a hinox. A chimera to a lynel. The difference is pretty vast.
I'll give you NPCs in general but the Champions may as well have not been characters at all for the tiny amount of screen time, crap translations, and HORRIBLE English voice acting they have. The most interesting characterization is Zelda herself and that consists of going from whiny and rude to sad, whiny, and rude
Brody Myers
Also, so it doesn't seem like I'm just here to shill (I'm not, I'm actively playing DD at the moment and haven't played BotW in a couple of weeks in fact, and was thrilled to see there was a /ddg/ again), here are the ways in which DD is better or BotW failed to adequately copy and refine it: >pawns (obviously), wolf link is fucking garbage and they didn't even try to make it work well with the player's high mobility plus it's technically paid DLC but pawns are the best AI followers in any game I've played hands down >vocations (also obviously), you basically have one class and limited options from what you could conceivably imagine being other classes (eg wands) in BotW but the vocation system is almost 100% of what gives DD its depth >character creation, while BotW features similar gameplay depth and attention to detail that DD's CC enjoyed in world interaction, it loses out on things like DD's weight and height mechanics as a result of having a single prebuilt character >interaction with the environment by way of grabbing, BotW has other ways to interact with the environment but curiously while you can climb on almost every inanimate surface you can only climb on one type of enemy and can't pick up and throw living things in BotW either. Apart from character height/weight/stamina modifiers, this is what gives DD most of its depth in terms of interactivity and that "you can do anything" feel, so while BotW manages to channel that through things like rune interactions and a good physics engine, going from one to the other it definitely feels like this is something that is missing and should be there in BotW. >it doesn't have FUCKING WEAPON DURABILITY
Chase Fisher
>opinions When British Parliament is done determining the true value of Breath of the wild, post your sluttiest Arisen and pawns pictures.
Jose Perez
Lol duh user. But it makes no sense to send your boner off with a girl.
Stop trying to make large bone happen. Large nut is superior.
Michael Flores
My pawn is explicitly non-slutty thank you
Gavin Moore
Does Capcom just hate money? The fully realized version of this game would have printed them money for ten thousand years. What the fuck is wrong with them?
Camden Jones

But it's so a thing just like fetch. It was originally a hard bone though.
Sebastian Lopez
it's not large bone, it's hard boner
Liam Campbell
>HORRIBLE English voice acting they have fixed in a patch there were so many complaints about a couple of the dubs that nintendo added native undub/redub support :^) I prefer the russian dub personally
Their business model is based on short development cycles and yearly releases of monster hunter rather than high quality "blockbusters." Compare to something like Bethesda Game Studios where they make decidedly kind of low quality but also HUGE and really detailed games and build hype for a year before release when people are already asking for a new release in a series, and make enough money off of each game to actually take that long to make more as a result. IMO the latter is better but only a few companies make it work, most successful companies do shit the way Capcom or, say, Ubisoft does it.
Ethan Barnes
The fuck do I do with RC other than purify things? I have hundreds of thousands from you lads and have barely even touched BBI
Xavier Williams
DD was a risk at the time. A brand new IP, a team who weren't experienced with this type of game, and a huge vision for the game that the budget just wouldn't be able to cover. Itsuno and his team worked hard to make DD as is it now. Their original idea for it was a bit too much for a game Capcom didn't even feel confident in. At this point, all you can do is just hope DD's success will eventually lol neverever lead to a proper sequel, with all their original ideas worked into, albeit in different ways most likely.
Levi Bailey
HERE IT COMES
BEST HYBRID CLASS VERSUS
Which is the best hybrid, and why?
>MK - Sword/Mace and Shield >MK - Staff and Shield >MA - Bow and Staff >MA - Bow and Daggers or >Any Assassin

I know, I picked Jap, but that's not at all a "fix" of the issue, really. Though I know it isn't their fault.
Asher Baker
rarify your dragonforged items hire non-friended pawns purify cursed shit
and that's all
Jace Butler
MA bow and daggers followed closely by swordbow assassin
Lincoln Cox
Do I need to be carrying 6 Drake/Wyrm/Wyvern Tears to get the pick up buff or does one of each do?
