That isn't removing managers, it's removing manager culpability. Having some sort of reasonable tactics guidelines for the real cup would do likewise.

That's the main failing point of the No Managers idea: it isn't getting rid of managers. At absolute least, the cup would need someone knowledgeable on PES designing tactics, formations and sliders for the team. If the commissioner/streamer isn't doing that job, and it's delegated to others, those others are managers. If teams are consistently dealt bad hands and are made by a specific person, there'll be calls for that person to be removed. You know, like a manager.

At the end of the day, people just want /theirteam/ to not suck anymore. There are ways to do that without throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

/a/ used to have a much bigger fanbase when they were a team to be reckoned with. The same can be said for any team that isn't nomarket. Once the team gets shit, the majority of fans stop watching. The significant dips in viewer numbers correlate to bigmarket teams getting shit and cup days getting bloated with nomarket teams that no one gives a fuck about.

The real threat to the cup is dead teams with no fans getting resurrected. imagine what happens to the viewer numbers when you randomly shut down the stream for half an hour during a cup day. That's pretty much exactly what you do when you resurrect a dead team.
