And it wouldn't surprise me if we won't even get 5 more, which is sad since most monsters so far look like push-overs and way too small.

It's not like MH games don't have a history of having way too many early game trashmons you'll never have a reason to fight again, and maybe a handful of actually threatening monsters at best. It's just how these games do things for some reason.

One more map with 3 new monsters and 1 more returning, and then the high rank final boss. Not expecting anything more than that.

MH was at the right place and at the right time with MH Portable. It works both ways too; if it didn't get so big, it wouldn't have the budget to continuously fix things.
