I exactly know what they'll do: they'll just ignore everything and continue as usual. People are too invested and too weak willed to boycott the game, they don't need to do anything.
In a few weeks after the banner is gone everything will be forgotten after they've released their next batch of seasonal units.

Won't be surprised when the orb rewards are less than usual, too. I wasn't expecting ISIS to stay generous forever, but at the same time I'm disgusted by it. Can't wait for the generous rates to drop to FGO levels.

Jugdral was a bait banner meant to eat up people's orbs during a free orb drought.
Ayra's existence and the method of obtaining her was deliberately concealed by excluding her from the FE4 new units trailer, releasing her completely unannounced a week after the first FE4 banner.
Users were mislead to believe the new unit banner would be the extent of the rollable new FE4 units in order to trick them into spending orbs they would have otherwise saved.
Ayra is the first rollable unit in the game's entire history to be released completely unannounced.
And this despite there being a new unit banner, and related trailer which she had every business being included in, but was excluded purely for the sake of misleading players and splitting rolls for new Jugdral units between two separate banners.

On top of this, Ayra shares a banner and red slots with an old unit, and is the only "40%" bonus unit included on the tempest bonus unit banner.

That's why I'm annoyed as well. I would have been mostly fine had she had the limitations of a reward unit. I actually think them getting some perks like Arden/Arvis's rings is a great idea. Ayra got a bit too much favoritism, probably could have removed one of the BST boost/special/Prf perks, but it was still manageable.
