At least machine guns are okay now. Not great, but usable. If you get up-tiered (which happens in 90% of matches) in the XF5F you are totally fucked. I don't think I have been in a match without several Pe-8s while flying the XF5F.

There were provisions made for two 23mm cannons, and the actual plane was armed with 4x12.7mm machine guns. It's funny that Gaijin, for whatever reason, gave the XF5F two totally unhistorical 7.62mm machine guns.

Gave it ago, flew for about 3 minutes, everyone else had an air spawn (for some reason?) and I got dived by 3 people with clan tags flying MiGs. Died instantly.

No one should get an airspawn unless they're a bomber, a komet, or a gook komet afaik.

You can outmaneuver any MiG at 800 km/h and above and your roll rate is out of this world so use it. Don't be afraid to climb a little but remember that MiG's perform better than you at greater than 3km but you can outdive them.
