Shallie is an INCOMPLETE game and has more character events than Sophie/Firis. Sophie and Firis are so shit they need to steal/rehash dusk characters to stay relevant.

This. Shallie+ is even better because it fixed most of the glaring issues Shallie had. It's still the worst dusk entry but despite that it's miles better than the Mysterious series as a whole.

Polls made in vitagen really isn't representative, the Mysterious hate is strong here, to the point of people trying to make stuff up just to shit on them. No, I won't forget the user who said "Sophie only sold well because it's the first new title in a long time" and "Sophie isn't popular in Japan polls" without being able to provide the source of the poll when asked.

That's all true from the Gust polls posted on Dengeki Bunko online. Right before the 20th anniversary I think Sophie wasn't even top 5 character or top 5 game. It was actually very embarrassing.

Danganronpa deserves more figures, especially for the girls. I can't believe it took till 2017 for Celeste to get a nice scale.

Personally I think Sophie is the worst since it lacks with the ending department and has too few interactions. And I also prefer Firis over Sophie as it added a bunch of those scenes and has multiple endings. Had fun with both, but the art isn't also as great as it has been so I'm glad Mysterious is over after this.

Sophie's interactions really isn't that many, but it really isn't that few either. I don't think it's much lower than, say, E&L. Shallie+ might have more after the additions.

But when they say Firis has less, then that's a straight up lie. I spent much more time on Firis than Shallie+ (even with two Shallie+ playthroughs) because there's just more events in Firis than Shallie+.

About the art, I personally still prefer NOCO's art over, say, Kishida Mel's, though yeah yuugen's art clashes so much with hers that it looks weird. Would be a lot better if it was only NOCO, or even only yuugen. Hidari and Yoshiku is still the best though.

V3 isn't anything like MGS2, and that's pretty much the problem. In some ways it's the exact opposite, because Kodaka tried to assert something about the players of the series that was over-exaggerated, completely off base and as a result totally devoid of any meaning.

I should mention that I own some titles already. I asked for some help previously two years ago and got Madoka Magicka and hotl#niQ back then. To add to that, I also have the Yuuki Yuuna hero title and something with a side-ways M.
I'm not very good with these Japanese things though and money is kinda tight, but I want to pick up a present.

It's for my daughter. She likes Japanese game and anime in general. Generally she stays away from shooting games, but otherwise most things are good. Right now, of the Japanese-only games, we have those I said above and Taiko drum master, the idol raising games, and ciel no surge.

IA/VT is a solid choice.

An Atelier or Neptune game is probably a good pick for someone that age.

While not a japanese only game Odin Sphere Leiftharasir is well worth picking up for its lovely art style, smooth animation and fun combat.

I'll second the other anons on IA/VT and Taiko and while this one isn't technically japanese it might be worth tracking down a copy of DJ Max Technika tune as well if she's into rhythm games.

Also Miracle Girls Festival since it's basically project diva but with anime songs.

I'll add it to the list. I'm thinking if I can get two or three ideally, it would be best. I doubt I could be that lucky, but two $30 titles before shipping could be alright.

She bought the limited edition Sophie+ title. I think she owns the others too but I haven't really checked. I'm mainly looking for Japanese only stuff since I want it to be a surprise.

I would love to accept the credit for it, but the only one I can say I bought on my own knowledge was ciel nosurge and yuuki yuuna. You guys helped me with the other titles before and they turned out to be a lot more solid than expected, which is why I trust you guys now with these things.

Oh yeah Miracle Girls Festival could be a good choice if she likes any of the anime in that. It's a collaboration with a bunch of different shows. It's technically stuff aimed mostly at boys but sometimes those all-pretty-girl-cast shows are popular with girls too.

Those are playable characters, so to speak, and the OP/ED of their respective series are selectable songs.

From what I know it's a mish mash of anime OP's from various series and I'm pretty sure the OP's for those two series do appear in the game so you should be all set.

Solaris Japan is the website I found actually. I was looking at the used prices for both and 7000 yen is the rough amount for them combined. It's cheaper than I expected them to be honestly, but I'm glad for it.

It had the Wi-fi turned off, right? The best way is probably to press ps butto to get to system, then put Vita to sleep and get back to it once the lights have stopped blinking and transfer. You could try just transfer them right away as well, it could work.

Okay vitagen, you're going to help me kill this fucking piece of shit boss. I heard gio is supposed to be able to solo the makina goddess thingie, but he doesn't get enough turns in before she blasts 2 billion lasers at me that push me so far back that I never get a turn again. What else can I try? This is what I'm currently running. I know the glasses suck ass, but I need the second eco skill to make the skills cost 0 mana. Are the procs based on gios speed? Do I need simply need more speed or am I missing something else?

Gio is nerfed in plus IIRC, you can't proc it twice in a row.

But that's why you run shadow essence and royal style, right? They both can give you an extra turn. Sometimes I get like 7-10 turns with him but then he just skips one and everything goes to shit.

Then don't base your build completely around him? It's entirely possible to beat all the extra bosses without even using Gio after all.

Mask of Truth, ie. Spoilers: The Game, didn't have any kind of restriction on screenshots, but in Mask of Deception- pretty much from the point after the elopement escort quest- screenshots were blocked.

Like I said, just ensure your build isn't focused solely around getting enough turns to kill her before she gets a turn. Make sure your characters can actually withstand her attacks.

IIRC the strength of the essences differ depending on which accessory you put them into, I forgot which accessories give the strongest, just google it.

And don't ever guard against her, that's when she'll counter using her strongest attack. Her other attacks are bearable.

Like I said, the lasers are what fucks me up the most. I got her to about 60% and she fired 4 of them. Every laser pushes back your turn and she basically spams me down at that point because the lasers deal damage, she gets at least 2 turns in which she heals for like 20-30k and kills at least 2 party members if not all of them at once.
