Vrykrul for Horde makes no sense because if you actually PLAYED Stormheim in this expansion you'd see that Sylvannas basically tried to enslave that golden angel bitch and was directly scheming with Helya.

If anything they're setting up for the Vrykrul to join the Alliance, since Vrykrul are the ancestors of Humans and if Ogres join the Horde they can be a big race for the Alliance.

worgen obviously didn't have a reason to be a faction or join the alliance before cataclysm. they choose these things based on themes and aesthetics and then give a reason for it.

vrykul have a pre-medieval honour-based culture so they are more closely aligned in themes to the orcs and tauren than they are to humans. they would fit fine on the horde

note that the vrykul (excluding the valkyr aspirants) didn't give single a fuck about eyir and neither did odyn.

All PC Worgen are Gilneans, you start off as a regular gilnean human and then turn into a worgen over the course of the starting area. Did you even... play a worgen in-game ever? Also worgen were literally made in WoW, none of the previous games. And they were highly associated with Gilneas.

Um, worgen WERE always highly associated with Gilneas. Heck back during vanilla people talked in-game all the time about how they raised the wall to keep out the undead but now ironically it was keeping the curse inside. The entire Shadowfang Keep dungeon has everything to do with Arugal, who was directly told by GENN GREYMANE to research the worgen.

Genn doesn't save Eyir because he's trying to help her, he just wants to keep her from being used by Sylvanas. That's hardly ground for Vrykul to say 'we should join these guys'. And the instance takes place after the fucking cutscene and Eyir is still pissed even though the Alliance 'saved' her. It's not happening. Could it happen? Maybe, more probable than the Vrykul in Stormheim heading to the Horde. But vrykul are bland so hopefully they stay in their shitty villages like they have been since Odyn left Ulduar.

They were only vaguely associated back in vanilla because they were so close to the Greymane Wall and people theorizing the Worgen had climbed the wall & entered Gilneas. None of which was confirmed until Cata. Before then Gilneas had just been one of the major Kingdoms from the Second War who left after the Orcs weren't put down.

Arugal being Gilnean wasn't a thing until Cata either with that Worgen comic.
