Loving Aikagi so far. It's nice how it's not full of school life shit, any short school scene was just an excuse to meet the girl there. Always wanted a game that just focuses on the girl instead of having the random "funny" scenes with your obligatory friend and 3 other girls you don't care about. Also the girl point of view scenes were super cute too.

These always work out great whenever I see them. Didnt read aikagi yet but usually they show the girl pattering about how she feels all happy about having a bf. Shit is moe.
I think most VNs are like mainroute (with funny SOL) into girl route with drama because some of the big VNs started start way, like shuffle! Same with why many old VNs had throwaway porn, like fate/SN and Muvluv. It was expected so they just tossed those in.
Further if you have multiple girls you can have a bigger chance of delivering a girl for each taste. One person might prefer a tsundere, another a kuudere. The main route also serves to provide some experience with the girl as non-lover. So it feels like a bigger change when she is oozing all over you, especially handy for a tsundere.

Recently I really started to prefer single girl VNs, even if the girl doesn't completely fit my taste. It just feels so much more personal if I don't get interrupted all the time when the game tries to make me like 3 other girls. And very often even when you're already in the girl's route the writer forces all the other characters into the story, like group events or that fucking school festival meme.
I really just want to live my daily life with the girl as we slowly get closer to each other, with as few side characters as possible. If there's an excuse for starting to live under same roof early in the story, that's even better since you can skip the meeting in school parts.

On that mention, I've been super busy with a project. What should I even add to the nukige pastebin for October?

I would like some friends honestly. I was hoping that with single heroine VN, not only the heroine would get better characterization, she would get another set of friends that's not from MC's circle, or the friends helping the couple together. Having only them two exist on screen feels weird to me.

There are two other titles with single heroine that I've read, which is vndb.org/v7142 and vndb.org/v5746, but one is from Dieselmine and no girl POV, and another is less of romance eroge and more of friendship theme with chokeful of slice-of-life relationship drama in it. Although really like the second one despite not being pure romance VN because how well the drama is played out in the end, how well the main heroine/female MC's detailed characterization is fleshed out, and how competent the friends around them are, constantly helping both male and female MC when they ask.

I don't approve of this unnecessary change. Don't call it H-game thread if you will purposefully exclude shit. /hgg/ should be a hub for all h-games, and redirection should only be for specialized questions like specific unknown translations projects and such that we still wouldn't have in our pastebins. That one Sailor Moon translator is enough to post in thread about the progress/problems going on. I'll still be posting about dlsite rpgmaker or others games here, since they are h-games. I've been in hgg2d since they split after their uncalled butthurt about being "drowned" out of discussion, and know it was built on a platform that is doomed to collapses on itself. There is no question that are some gems of dlsite rpg games, but not enough to completely sustain a general during the long periods where a bunch of mediocre to bad level of games are constantly produced. There are some well-known developers like Acerola or Black Panda that make games occasionally, but all their games are definitely not great or interesting enough to be the subject of constant discussion, outside of a couple appealing scenes or character design. Crotch games are cool mechanically, but the whole scat thing that turns people off, and even then their games are not super fantastic by any means, rather than just a nice change of mechanics.

I don't fully understand this rationale of trying to just blanket remove another genre of h-game and still claim to be a thread for h-games. This thread should be for exposing games to other people that are already into, or want to get into h-games. Unlike dedicated generals that have undoubtedly devolved to extreme levels of circlejerking like with /aa2g/, /hgg/ should be a place with enough variety where there can be multiple opinions of games, even if they are popular already. Do you not find it idiotic to claim to be a hentai game general, but no one in the thread may show an opinion about a game, and instead just redirect?

Clarification that h-games don't include western shit. That is just awful, and I 100% agree that stuff should be redirected to /aco/.
I can understand Alicesoft because they actually do have a long line of games, and Rance is really one of the most popular ones. both of the threads on /h/ are absolutely retarded. I can't speak for HS since its appeal died to me very early, but CM3D2 in general is stagnant and is kept alive much longer due to update of the games and incredible mods. The coolest thing with it is the OC potential with Multiple Maid mod. /aa2g/ is basically /ksg/ at this point, but mods really do wonders for a game and longevity. I would genuinely like to see some /hgg/ related OC. Even something as simple as rpgmaker game that has name edited to "user" and a funny situation that includes the name. There is just a big rift between the h and the game part in these threads, lately. We already know that h is going to happen in all the games, so why not have fun with it. That one user who only plays nameable protag games is on a good direction for OC potential, but still stupid for limiting himself to such. Are you guys even having fun with the game part of h-games, or even attempting to make it fun?

Have some more incentive, even though the gameplay is meh. H-scenes are like textbook good /ss/ and the art is very nice. She really gives that doting caretaker vibe during h-scenes. I especially like how the more wrapped in pleasure the lad becomes with her, the deeper you are in the floor. There is even subtle change of the amount of times he ends up ejaculating per scene, with it increasing the deeper you go in floors, as well.

The single girl format, shorter VN, is a nice interlude in-between longer readings. The double PoV, the romantic development, decent art and voice acting makes it more interesting too, than your usual biweekly Miel release. Overall, a great vanilla story.
