Is censoring sex morally justifiable?

It basically is, as horrifying as it is.

Censoring genitalia went back as far as the ancient Greeks, they censored female genitals with fig leaves but allowed male genitals to be uncovered. When Christianity spread it put a damper on the notion of "heroic nudity" but continued to allow nudity in general to a great extent, just in more modest forms (i.e. no more engravings of boys being fucked in the ass on your kitchenware).

When protestantism began to spread there began an aggressive censorship campaign on behalf of many of the protestants to put an end to all nudity in art, going so far as to alter great works in order to obscure genitals and even nipples, this has continued for literally 500+ years now and many protestants STILL can not understand the difference between pornography and nudity. Nudity was not at all seen as a very big deal before the reformation, it was only graphic nudity that was seen as unsavoury really.

Even if many cultures didn't feel the need to censor nudity in art, nearly every culture seems to have some form of nudity taboo, though some are more relaxed than others. Did anybody ever figure out why that is?
I guess it's because nudity can cause arousal in others, and arousal can lead to all sorts of drama, or something, right?
