It's not bad but it can get very repetitive. It's similar to token events but the song pool is much more limited so it can get boring a bit quickly.

It's a worse version of token event because you can't play whatever song you want. The only thing it has over tokens is you can use multiple songs for score tiering. But unlike Tokens, it has some extremely shitty RNG involved with score tiering.

Are your scorers skill level 1? Level them to at least 2 and Charms will be a lot more valuable.

I think the friend support bonus only multiplies the base score from a card, not the amount gained from score up activations. It would make sense for chamrs to have less of an impact when you're including the friend bonuses.
Of course, Kotori won Honkbowl even after entire season of HonkUmi after all.
Rerolling wastes too much gold, especially when it gives you the same shitty song 3 or 4 times in a row despite rerolling. And the RNG needed for the friend bonuses is ridiculous, especially when you only get gold and xp bonuses.
Halloween Maru better not come out next. I haven't had enough time to save up yet.

This the score I'm getting without the charms. I've played the same song WITH the charms and I've got 822K with a 126 combo. (Teambuilder assumes a FC) So I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that teambuilder is being buggy.

Team builder is weird when you use live show. Use score to see what skills to use and then live show to see what center to use for your friend bonus.
You can rely on team strength and ability to keep a combo to circumvent one shitty song. And RNG in MedFes isn't that bad, (It'll give you Score Up 1st and Skill activations second a surprisingly decent amount) Trust me, I've suffered through the RNG shitfest that is MedFes. And I'd still take it over

Your luck with Medfes must have been better than mine. Osanpo v2 at least makes it a bit easier because you can select whichever attribute you want to play rather than have it randomly select from all three.
