reasoning to work your way downwards is to get the ce that boosts your drops; pumpkins are gacha only hence why you should start there. also the higher nodes will drop event loot below theirs but not vice versa so you wont get pumpkin from 30 but will get candles

the chess pieces are not worth farming for until you get everything else unless you need them RIGHT NOW since they will most likely drop while you do dailies later
