am I the only one who doesn't like Bittertide Hydra at all, even in aggro decks?
I tried it like 5 games and replaced it....

70-80% of the decks flood the board with minions... So you'd just be left holding it because just playing it means losing 15hp, you probably won't live long enough for it to deal that much (2 hits). Had a few games where I killed the guy the same turned he played it.

The only decks that don't flood the board is priest and quest mage(that you almost never see). shaman, 4-7 minions constantly, rogue, 2-5 minions, hunter, 3-5 minions constantly... These decks make up a good 30-40% of the meta and playing the hydra against them is suicide. Not just becuase they always have a bunch of minions, they're also aggro so your life total matters. Can't lose 12-18hp on turn 5.

Even Jade druid often has 3-4 minions, he can just trade them in, taunt up and then you lose another 3hp to kill taunt and still haven't dealt any damage, and so on.

long story short, I don't know why people are using it. It doesn't look good in the meta. The only high-played class that can't rekt you the very turn you play it, priest, can just remove it easily.

So fucking tired of this game. Priest killed me from 36 to 0 with an empty board. Well he had a 1-1, But didn't buff it or anything, so let's say 35 to 0.

And it wasn't even a close call either. He had AT LEAST 9 more damage; Mindblast was 5 overkill, and he had a +4 damage hero power on top of that. So he had at least 44 damage total, from an empty board. Might have had more, still had 3 cards. And no setup other than just drawing Raza/SRA/Velen, he didn't have minivelen or anything.

Remember back when they nerfed 15-20 damage combos because they didn't want people to go from 'almost full' to 'dead' in one turn? Guess they don't.

EU here, the event is up and I can confirm that the unfinished arena trick worked. I had a 8-2 arena up, logging in gave me about 200g, a Frozen Throne pack, 2 Old gods pack and two instances of arena tickets.
