You'd need to decompress the game, open it with rpgmaker and look up the map and the event to trace it to the script giving off the problem.
Definitely over you head if you're stuck at just opening rpgmaker, you can probably try your luck and load the save on the japanese version, go past that part and reload it on the
translated one.

fyi melty quest players if anything charms you and you can't take damage from it the game softlocks since you can never get cured of charm yourself.

Referring to games by numbers especially when they aren't being talking about that much isn't too bad since often when you give the name people get confused trying to find it. Also please realise that many of the regulars here have a script installed so that when you post an RJ number they mouse over and get the full game details so even if someone is going to mention a game by name is still nice to include an RJ number at least the first time it appears in a thread.

About the untranslated readers truth is for some of the games in here you only need a mediocre level of Japanese skill to be able to read everything and if you hook it is easy to quickly look up any words you don't know. It really depends on the game though some are not so easy.

There are three in the last dungeon of the game. Two can be grabbed without fighting any enemies. There is one in each of the three routes available.

No, I'm pretty sure every regular here plays untranslated games on the release date, which is also the reason why it's unlikely to see older games discussed here (cucks circlejerking over the same old cuckshit aside). And it's rare to see a game mentioned by name here because of the script in the OP and the fact that the latest games on DLsite usually have no official English names for several days, which is when they are generally discussed here.

What's it doing? If it's saying nwjs stopped responding then run as admin. nw.exe is the wrapper used for the game which allows for the steam compatibility, but I removed that shit so it won't try to communicate with steam. It's in every steam released MV game that has achievements iirc.

Occasionally one has a lot of hits like pic related but... it's mostly just listings of recommendations or TL talk with little to no comments about it, let alone anyone reviewing or talking about the games in-depth. I don't see the point of running MV games in Japanese OS. There's nothing to fuck up in there since they basically Chromium anyway and can be played in any web browser when unboxed. Also, all RPG Maker games, including MV, still work in Windows XP natively.

Either nwjs it incompatible with XP or it's incompatible with 32bit OS's which I've seen some complaints about on steam forums when trying to fix the error I had (which was just a permissions error, running as admin fixes it.)

Anything with missing procedures in kernel DLLs such as that nw.exe does not and will not work in XP ever. If it is not needed as it looks like, just ditch it and run Game.exe directly as usual.

64-bit executables on 32-bit OS simply do not run with "the exe is okay but it's for a different machine type than yours" error.
