Last Thread: Last time on /ss13g/ - spessmen on a spess station: >serb besieged by TG immigrants. What is going on? >failed AME dump, jesus christ how horrifying >superb railgun memes

but muh pod fights
Anthony Brooks
We can have pod lasers/energy cannnons/railguns too user.
Angel Wood
>not giving it a sleeper pod and rcd >not going off to make your own dungeon fortress station filled with buttbots with bros
Jonathan Cox
>be sitting around, station time 12:40 with no signs of muh valids >suddenly a syndicate shuttle slams into the station >sec pours in to get dem valids >no valids >suddenly the other side of the station blows up as a swarm of syndie cannon equipped pods swarm in >syndie shuttle explodes taking out sec team
Pods with mech shit could be fun.
Andrew Stewart
Except they'd totally invalidate mechs because they're way way WAY faster than even a human, so the dodge game would be too strong
Imagine the syndicate wheelchair but it shoots lasers and you don't know right away if it's hostile or not because it's not red and terrifying
Gavin Evans
Could just introduce a speed decrease for every component added. Arent mechs like, triple the durability anyway? Im sure theres simple ways to balance it out.
Ryan Bennett
Good luck trying to aim when you get to other z-level by simply pressing button once
Parker Anderson
>syndicate wheelchair why have I never seen this
Jonathan Hall
Because it was nerfed into oblivion for being absurdly robust. Seriously, the thing walked all over security teams and broke bones like nothing else.
Carter Russell
Syndie wheelchair was robust, easy to use, and more importantly, abused by certain individuals to the extent that everyone hated it. You never see it because anyone who uses it gets shat on by everyone nowdays. Blame the people who abused it.
Mason Kelly
Thanks Reica Carter/Strawberrytan
Samuel Rodriguez
Imagine if eswords automatically stabbed people you walked into now imagine if they had no cooldown on being able to do that. that was syndie wheelchairs
Owen Torres
I remember being able to survive them only as a cluwne
Daniel Brooks
They could kill diona in matter of seconds, and they were dealing brute damage. This shit was way too strong, paired with creatine you were unkillable
Kayden Fisher
jesus christ how horrifying
Blake Clark
the worst part is that it isnt even just thread exageration it was literally basically no cooldown esword slashes, and for a while even blocked taser shots.
Jose Rogers
The one time I saw it a guy literally just ran us over repeatedly and killed like five people in what seemed like an insteant. This was a long time ago though
Aiden King
Is it safe?
Caleb Clark
is it secret?
Jason Anderson
>CE dying >Run at him with hypospray >He runs away >Later, see mime hurt on shuttle >Give a little dose of DD and dex+ from the hypo >Walk away as mime activates E-Implant I wish I did that on purpose.

I was gonna blow up at some time in that shuttle ride, might as well been then
Michael Young
You did take out the sleepers, which made my job a lot harder.
Jayden Thompson
>Spawn in >Get killed wowo thx
Oliver Morgan
Is the ftl13 even worth playing?
Ayden Gutierrez
No. The main thing it has going for it is the server being very smooth feeling; but vg beats it at that. Otherwise its just extremely dumbed down to the point where there is nothing to do.

Chococoins work too. You can also put a string on coins for multiple uses (depends on how much the RNG likes you)

Not really, doctors are getting paid by the corporation to work on station. Any service they give out is free because it's not the patients that pay, it's their common employer. Furthermore, since there's no actual need for money beyond luxury items and there's no long term needs that need to be fulfilled. It's a weird system that arose naturally from player interaction and the super simplified economy, I'm sure an economist would find it interesting as an hypothetical. I wonder if some economists took a look at multiplayer game's economies to try and find interesting insight into what happens when you remove real world problems (like death) from the equation.
David Fisher
eat shit yahir
Nathan Clark
TF2's economy has been studied iirc, but it's more about the virutal goodies rather than the player interactions. I was talking how miners, science, service and basically everyone works for free, because they expect people to do the same. Mechanics upgrading Medbay is a good example of this.
Mason Bennett
It's like a tribal society, strangely. Everyone cooperates for free, because there's not enough complexities to necessitate a currency, also because it's more complicated to pay for a service, than it is to just give a service in return for one. I wonder if we could re-create a SS13 society in real life. Stick 30 or so people in a closed off complex, guarantee basic necessities, including privacy should they want it, ensure them they'll never need to prepare for future needs once they get out (this is most likely the huge sticking point) and give them basic jobs to accomplish.
Isaac Wood
Here's something funny. I often offer to pay cash to Cargo and Botany for giving me shit I want. Despite them not needing money, and, in fact, having no use whatsoever for the money I give them, they are still more willing than before. How come?
Elijah Stewart
Arcologies and habitation engineering. It's a very interesting field. The perfect study is the Whittier, Alaska, a town that exists inside an apartment block.
Juan Bailey
Cargo does have use for money since it has the luxury item dispenser and all botanist players are dicks.
Hunter Anderson
Everyone loves getting stuff, especially if it's for doing something they'd be doing anyway. If I was paid to masturbate all day in my basement, I'd be doing it even more.
Daniel Powell
They see you roleplaying and it surprises them - positively.
Jacob Walker
lifeweb is up, guys
Lincoln Flores
Well, not really, they're never really growing the plants I need when I get there. It'd be more like if I paid you to masturbate with your opposite hand and the payment is expired coupons.
Oliver Diaz
gay
Dylan Edwards
Definitely possible in real life but would require a small group (less than 50-75) and maybe living in some sort of situation where it's "We all work together or we all die alone" every week.
Christopher Gray
game is fun
Zachary Bell

>pjb saving Veeky Forums yet again YCLAT ON SUICIDE WATCH

Absolutely pathetic and immature, as expected I am by no means a TGfugee and I do think they are cancer but this is just cheap drama for the sake of drama
Hunter Evans
why does doctormad want it closed so much? because he was banned for lol i
Ayden Martinez
Why is TG being niggers about a simple request? Why must brothers fight?
David Murphy
This shouldn't be drama, we don't allow links to our server external from Veeky Forums. Why is MSO trying to threaten us over this shit?
Connor Cox
>MSO you answered yourself
Christian Martin
>Also, my suggestion would be to drop the subject before I start creating big bold links on every page saying to not go to Veeky Forums The fuck kinda threat even is this
Jose Sanders
>links to our server external from Veeky Forums Can you find me where it is explicitly said? From ss13.moe: >Whether you're new or a veteran, we invite you to jump in.

Did you already forget when the guy who did a video on SS13 - Veeky Forumsstation especially - got banned?
Aiden Thompson
>Can suffer hull breaches that require to be repaired from the outside >They're only allowed to use certain weapons and items >EMPs can stop them from moving and firing energy weapons
There, fixed.
Josiah Williams
We have asked the ss13 subreddit mods to remove any links to our server going back 2+ years now.
Henry Parker

Ha is this a joke?
Jaxon Hughes
Yes, and Veeky Forums is still mentioned. Just not the IP.
He was unbanned after, and banning him was autism
I am a minority here and I don't want to argue with people, but the SS13 community is so small that it's safe to say everyone who is not deaf will hear about our server sooner or later.
Aiden Garcia
I agree that it was dumb, but not wanting direct links to the server's BYOND address isn't a new thing
Gavin Murphy
My wife plays ss13 and she's never heard of Veeky Forums until I told her about it and she joined in february then got banned.
Liam Harris
Because we don't care about being MENTIONED, we care about links to our server.
If someone wants to go through the effort to look up Veeky Forums and find the thread and use our link here, more power to them. But we have no wish to encourage people to join our server without at least seeing the thread to find the link first.
Gavin Russell
your wife sounds like a shitter
Chase Anderson
>wife You're either lying or a normie
Lincoln Nguyen
This is more or less how I got here, so I get the reasoning. At first I thought the request was a bit rude, but now I am convinced. Playing here should feel more like a privilege than a right.
