Hey lads, while we're waiting for the backer preview to drop its almost time once again for the next Veeky Forums League! implyingrigged.info/wiki/Veeky Forums_League_9
Just as a quick refresher from the events of Veeky Forums League 8, /lzg/ managed to finish in 2nd place after a few weeks of grueling matches and nail biters, eventually losing in the final match against the idolshits of /llsifg/.
First and foremost, I need proof that the general is still interested in participating in the VGL so hit me with some (You)s if you would like to see the team to return to the pitch
Secondly, go ahead and take this chance to suggest new players to add to the team, new music, new arena ideas, new kits, whatever comes to mind. You can take a look at the current roster and music here implyingrigged.info/wiki//lzg/
David Martinez
I'm always down for virtual divegrass.
Bentley Ramirez
kampan
Jaxon Young
yeah sure
Nicholas Long
add Nuna to the team
Evan Richardson
we could do an all loli team
Luke Clark
Oh, I like that image. very cute.
I'm just happy to see that they're adding new stuff now. It's a sign that the app is hopefully doing well, which is good for the future.
I wonder who designed the stage? It looks more like Max's style than Willy's, or maybe it was an artist at HVS. Really well painted whoever it was.
Julian Barnes
>3 days until a year since I ordered Skullgirls physical
christ
Kevin Campbell
Our team did great last time. Of course I'd like to see them have another go.
Seconding Nuna. Maybe we can add Bearshi to the team too.
If there were no fireballs, who would have the best neutral?
Jacob Martinez
I don't know if fireballs are a major factor as it is, but certainly without 'em, the rushdown would be king. so Filia for sure.
Levi Walker
If Indivisible becomes a huge hit, why would they do Skullgirls 2 over the Indivisible fighting game?
Liam Clark
probably no other reason than completing the story and being able to use the same animations and programming. making SG2 will be a big pain in the ass either way.
Bentley Flores
because it would ultimately cost less to expand Skullgirls, especially with Mobile content, than it would be to start entirely from scratch. that's assuming both options were on the table that is.
but yeah, Indiv fighting game would have to start with a small roster like SG did, and require lots of new animations, while SG2 could expand with another 8 and get a 20+ roster. bigger roster is a good selling point.
Dominic Cox
Yeah. But lewd link bumps are appreciated It's not like they are a big deal already. Filia for sure Because they're not gonna throw all the SG sprites away, it would be kind of negative press Expect Indiv guests tho
>those cathedral stained glass prints. I'm mad jelly now
Jonathan Gutierrez
Don't play with my heart
Carter Robinson
sounds good. yeah I figured the only way the mobile game would get new stages and stuff is if it's making money, i.e. positive prospects.
still, safer to assume that the main game won't be getting updates, at least for a good while.
Charles Allen
>5 year old Skullgirls during sale now has more players on Steam than MvCI in its 2nd month
We did it fellas
Blake Mitchell
nice
Adrian Ross
i dont really want to see other games fail breh
Gabriel Davis
Don't think of it as new games failing. just skullgirls succeeding more
John Rogers
I just want to see Capcom fail
Samuel Nelson
I wonder how successful the mobile game has actually been. This coming update feels like there's definitely a jump in production values if they're adding double, a new stage and story art as implies
Matthew Ross
more last hope art
Brody Young
...
Levi Sullivan
Not quite a fair comparison I think. But Marvel being so dead on PC is quite something
Hunter Cox
If I’m gonna be honest, I don’t understand how anyone can be invested in the mobile game. It’s way too much of a fucking grind, even for a mobage
Adam Roberts
the only failure would be on Capcom's part, but maybe FG players should also re-evaluate what's considered a "dead game" and what that really means for our genre.
like we say with SG, if you enjoy playing something, keep playing it. don't stop playing just because it doesn't have 5,000 daily avg and crossplay. and don't assume a game is trash or not worthwhile because of its daily players either. if you hook up with the community and participate in weekly events you're keeping your game alive.
Wyatt King
>SG is a failure for not having Cerebella vanilla doujins
For shame.
James Hughes
what are a list of things that would be considered killing skullgirls?
Julian Hill
>implying vanilla is possible with bella
Luke Cruz
she can take the hat off and she's not violet tier kinky either
Adam Bell
1)old game 2)not at EVO
Daniel Robinson
I like the SG scene. It's alive and well and people are nice enough to teach you stuff + tournament turnouts are decent for a five year old game. Melee was the same until they had their big chance at EVO. We'll have our chance too.
Logan James
Even if SG is old, nothing is replacing it any time soon.
Wyatt Turner
What if the vegas shooter was a sg fan
Jonathan Campbell
probably a cerebella main
Aiden Scott
More of a Peacock kinda guy
Mason Edwards
Peacock fans aren't as murderous or slutty
Jackson Parker
ok. which type of skullgirls fan would be most likely to commit murder in your opinion?
Henry Miller
Double fans
Colton Ross
plausible.
Related, I think painwheel-waifufags would in-turn be the least likely to murder.
Jackson Perry
I agree, but those are still gonna be the big reasons people will turn to other stuff over time.
Jacob Anderson
was there a Friday tourney today? seems like everything went on hiatus for either twitch con or canada cup.
Dominic Butler
None that I'm aware of. of course, something may have slipped under my radar.
Justin Butler
I just realized that I'm dependant on noticationanon to watch streams, I should actually tune in by myself
