can i run this on a brick pc, i can comfortably play league / tf2 and other low spec-ish games. is it cpu heavy
Henry Harris
Consider this, I can barely run league of legends and hearthstone and I can play this game comfortably.
You should be more than fine.
Angel Hall
So how is the shieldbreaker? I heard she has guaranteed ambush at night is that true?
Isaiah Richardson
Sad to see the thread so dead, I wished there was a place to discuss the game that wasnt /v/ or plebbit.
Ayden Taylor
Yep, I think it's 3 guaranteed ambushes for every level of mission. But once you do 3 for a level you'll no longer get that snek ambush for that level of mission.
Justin Ortiz
What do you get out of them?
Josiah Torres
Am i the only one kinda mad that they release DLC with character that does well against the new stealth mechanic that they only just added?
Joseph Jenkins
You get her trinkets, journal entries and some scales that block 100% of damage that can be kept for later missions.
Jace Anderson
>just bought this game yesterday, going through my first playthrough >find a tentacle statue with the inscription "Place a torch if you crave the void" >since there's a shit ton of curios in this game that can give you buffs i figure "okay i'll have my occultist use this, maybe it will imbue him with eldritch power or something." >i offer the torch and entire party gets pulled into the cosmos with a shoggoth >getting our asses kicked >can't run away >mfw SOMEHOW we managed to survive but not without the entire party getting dropped to
Dylan Martin
Would you say you enjoyed that kind of learning experience?
Levi Barnes
Did you beat the shambler? If so what'd you get?
Justin Bennett
Yeah I'm really enjoying this game and experimenting with shit, even when bad things are happening. I'm playing on the lowest difficulty now because the game recommends it for first runs, and honestly I'm not going to fucking second-guess this game. I assume the challenge will ramp up horrendously once I get to the harder difficulties/the areas go to higher danger levels.
Jace Sanders
Got the Ancestor's Map out of it.
Josiah Taylor
Yeah this game is brutal, even for someone like me who sunk 100+ hours into it, sometimes you can do all the right things and all the best choices and you just end up with 4 dead heroes through some bad rolls.
Jacob Russell
That's a pretty great item to get early in my opinion, since things that improve scouting chance are rather rare and especially in runs where you don't have a tight knit proficient team ready, knowing what lies ahead is a huge help.
I just spent 100,000 gold levelling up my first full party of rank 5 veterans and pimping out their gear and abilities. Went on a hard difficulty, long mission to get the Ancestors Pen for my Highwayman. Everything was going well until about the third room where I see a Shambler idol, go "Hah, fuck that I'm not retarded." I move to the next room and as soon as I leave it the shambler divebombs me anyway, shreks my team and forces me to abandon with two guys dead.
This game is hard as dicks and I like it.
What is this shtick with this new spear chick? She good? What what about ambushes?
Samuel Cox
I haven't used her, but looking at what she does she seems to be alright. Kinda a niche and not a strong as the flagellant, but having a hero that can ignore protection for straight attacks sounds quite useful.
Easton Butler
That's a shame. Flagellant seems inherently really strong, the drawback being only one can ride. Seems like you're at fault if you DON'T have one on your team, well at least, until you get to the stages where you have set marking and combo teams set up.
It would have been nice if the new character was similarly powerful but had a similar "No, I don't travel with other Shielderbreakers or those derrange Flaggelants."
Hell, give Abomination a bit of a buff up and make him similar. He seems more of a "Unique guy" rather than "Oh, that's highwayman Robert, highwayman James and highwayman Dismas.
Austin Anderson
Noted. I have a decent amount of experience with X-Com so I figure I should be decently prepared for the "catastrophe domino effect gameplay laced with RNG."
Parker King
Flag won't go with another one because it'd be OP. He has higher death blow resist, basically free healing, and his camping skills are strong. The only thing holding him back is ruins/cove are high on bleed resist.
I'm a bit more disappointed we didn't get a new area. Like, maybe a desert?
Jonathan Bell
Is there a list of all the Shieldbreaker trinkets? I got 4 of them and they seem pretty good.
Noah Cooper
That's what I mean.
They don't go together because Flag's are INHERENTLY stronger than every other class.
It would be nice if there were more INHERENTLY stronger than every other classes, but you can only have ONE of them on your team.
Also, "Shieldbreaker" is a retarded name. Anything would have been better, "Viper, Mercenary, Dervish." Ect. "Shieldbreaker" is stupid. Man-at-Arms isn't called the "Shieldshouter". Highwayman isn't called the "Shootystabber.", Vestal isn't the "Healer." names all fit as names and titles rather than just "What they do-er".
The worst thing I find is when you get shit loads of prep ready for a mission, invest plenty of money, time and training, wait for the right event to tackle a challenging boss with a great reward up for grabs and whoops you forgot to buy torches, entire run is fubar because you are a stupid, luckily the most recent time this fucked me up was when I was in the warrens so I managed to get to the boss quickly and rest to refuel torches.
