The Plinkett test is a kinda shitty test. There are some characters who pass with flying colors despite being awfully written, and other characters which have a hard time passing despite being well written.
A shy, yet erudite bookworm with a knife collection, who has trouble opening up to others. She cuts herself to relieve tension. At first, she has control of herself. She generally tries to be polite despite hiding strong opinions of the people around her. On the rare occasion that she finds somebody who has similar interests to her, she gets very excited, but also very nervous because she wants to interact with them, but she also knows that she will come on too strong if she does. Do to circumstances beyond her control, she loses the ability to hold herself back, and starts mindlessly chasing after her desires. She harshly insults her friends and she becomes absolutely obsessed with the object of her affections, abandoning all social grace in the process. However, even though she loses control of herself, some remnants of who she used to be tries to stop herself, and she becomes physically sick at her own actions.

Writing is too subjective to fit under a certain criteria or test to be automatically "good". Plinkett test isn't a test of high art story telling, it's a test of of basic stuff similar to the Bechdel Test where a lot of really great stories fail, but the fix is really simple and basic
