They would never allow bans for precisely that reason. They know people will ban their precious control crusher if they allow such a format, and Tanaka-san will actually have to play games longer than 7 turns against control decks. I wouldn't even be surprised if D.Shift survives a standard rotation, because of some bullshit mental gymnastics they pull off like "identity" or whatever, just to retain the control killer in the game.

Definitely not .Cygames is more generous than Blizzard but they're not going to do something that would let everyone go perma-f2p.

There is no point to doing this for ladder unless they're going to pull an MtG and allow sideboarding which they won't because SV has no hoser cards that would even go into sideboards to counter meta shit like Dshift and Ramp. All Bo3 ranked would mean is "Hey, you know that Dshift player you just queued into with you're control deck? Now you can lose against him TWICE".

Never. A single game can range from 3 minutes to 10 minutes easily. Worst case you're playing half an hour for a single ranked "match" which in the end you might still lose and end up going down in points.
I can easily see a rotation or ban a craft though.

They're not going to give full vials for rotated cards because they're only going to be rotated out of whatever they decide to call their standard rotating format. There is guaranteed going to be an eternal format that also appears where everything is legal so those cards still have value. The problem is if they're going to be like T5 and nerf every month only according to the rotating format and leave the eternal format as a cesspit.

I keep seeing this suggested and its so silly. It works in a tournament setting, but not for a ladder against strangers who could have any kind of time commitments. They shouldn't have to make sure they have a possible 30mins spare just to play a card game.

How long till Cygames realizes that awful aggro solitaire playstyle decks is what really kills this game for people? The players can stand Daria/Dirt Burn for example, but anything faster than these becomes automatically cancer like Sword and the Neutral meta. Kys is basically semi-aggro with powerful heal, removal and especially draw engine, on the other hand Neutral Rune was basically aggro with strong midgame and end-game, again, because of the bullshit "draw your entire deck" engine. That said, I still don't get why Staircase wasn't nerfed.

Rotating out standard would turn Rune into just Dirt, no?
