I went to cardiff with friends and found a limited collector's edition of Halo 2 for £4! It's in pretty good condition, has the covenant manual and 'conversations from the universe' booklet still. I feel pretty good about it

Yes and no. They're a good determinant for 1v1s. But they don't carry over to team slayer well.

They don't even carry over to doubles well. The thing about 1v1's is they are typically determined right from the start, based on who spawns better.
I can only speak for the two 1v1s I've seen them play. Red didnt seem drunk in either of them. They were back to back matches. The first was actually really close and was kind of a power weapon fest. The map had the CE pistol, rockets, sniper, shotgun, invis, and even overshield. It was close and generally came down to who ever had a power weapon against who didnt. Red won in overtime. The second match had none of those things and was just BR to BR. Red pretty clearly had a more accurate aim than Sigmund did and won handily.
