In general, monster transitions between areas in 4U are utter garbage. Most of them have just one spawn point and one patrol of three areas at best. Doesn't help the fact that 4U maps are not that good.

Lance is really easy but I personally find it incredibly boring. You don't have to fall for the evade lance meme if you don't want to, guard lance is fine too. You just poke poke poke dodge poke poke poke dodge, with guards instead of a couple of pokes where required.

I'm a bit disappointed Rajang is HR only in dos.

Move to the monster's side and start charging. Don't be afraid to release before you hit charge level 3, especially if you don't have focus yet. But make getting focus a priority.

Lance is fun as fuck especially in 4U, 4U lance is my favourite weapon. It plays completely differently from both hammer and gs though, it has a charge attack but you very rarely actually fully charge it on purpose. Bow is actually the weapon that is most similar to hammer.

IDK lance seems fun and satisfying. Hammer is cool (although now it's considered lower in the meta it's kinda turning me off a bit) and I'd use the hunting horn but I wouldn't be maximizing it's potential since I only fight with one guy using an emulator.

Greatsword seems cool user, just seems hard to master. Idk, all I've (mostly) used was hammer, greatsword (sometimes) and long sword when I need to cut shit off but I'm not really good at that and I just wanted something fun and new to cut tails off with.

my friend is a gunlancer and he thinks lances are boring and gaye but I think they're much more fun, personally

Fuck off, you literally only need Guard Boost for Gravios and Guard+2 is a waste, you can go for +1 and even nothing most of the time, the moves that would require G+2 can't be countered so it doesn't matter if you're knocked back.

Both are fine. Evade tends to kill shit a bit faster if you're autistic about that sort of thing. I use both depending on the fight.

Guard Boost makes Zamtrios a lot easier

You can just trip it with a charge on the arms or jump on it and you can block Tigerstripe barf without Guard Boost.

You can block Tigerstripe's water beam when he deflates, not the normal sweeping one
