You don't need any of this, i never play with ZRP or anything, if i mod i mod, if not, full vanilla.

No, if you wan't a well polished fps with really good looking weapons play cod or something, for me all the vanilla kinks make the game much better, its much more immersive when you play vanilla, with the vanilla weapons, if you play it modded you're not even playing STALKER any more. I fell in love with vanilla SoC, its why i keep coming back to it, its why i can't even play other FPS games anymore without getting bored af. You're going to miss out if you don't play vanilla, i honestly can't stress it enough.

I've been experimenting with trader files in a couple CoP mods and CoC, and I've noticed that the alleged chance values don't actually mean what they're supposed to, i.e
[supplies_generic]
wpn_mp5 = 1, 0.25
is supposed to mean that there's is a 25% chance it will show up in that trader's inventory at a given time, but the real chance seems to be a tiny fraction of that in testing.

Likewise, even if the entire weapon list of almost a hundred entries has a 0.66 chance each, occasionally no weapons will spawn at all, which tells me there's some other element at work here that determines trade inventory at a given time aside from the obvious bits.

Anyone have any insight on this, or is this just another phenomena that's chalked up to drunk slav coding and accepted?

I cant play the mode because Ive got a bugged game or something where people will randomly shoot me when they werent hostile. Ill walk into a loner camp and be looking in my inventory then some guy behind me will headshot me and everyone acts like its normal.

Too realistic for me, it would explain why I see a few people inside a barrel all the time. The zone wont even let them die, the just respawn over and over.

You have to move. They are literally the best of the best stalkers in the zone who grouped together to kill other people. Hunting people is what they do to survive in the zone. If they werent good they would be dead so the fact that your are fighting some of them must mean they are amazing. A group of 3 can wipe out fortified positions no problem. They have RPGs and Guass rifles.

(In reality theirs American supported terrorists in the zone)

Also sometime if i change graphics options and then go back at it after a few mins upon clicking "option" i get unhandled exception and the mod crashes

im playing stalker clear sky for the first time with arsenal overhaul and SRP patch, along with atmosfear. Even with SRP its crashing like every 30 minutes. Shit is pissing me off, I think I am just gonna skip to call of pripyat if I keep getting crashes.

So if there was a Stalker 2 what would the story be? Havent people already made it to the middle of the zone? Its not like you could change the maps. World war 3 is happening outside and Americans are pushing into one side, Russians on the other? Duty revels theyre Russian operatives and Freedom+Mercs American ones? Loners get hunted down while monolith is the main characters faction fighting against the invasion?

I played CS with SRP only, AO and atmosfear are probably making it crash, i barely experienced any crashes without them.

aresenal overal aint a shit mod m8. Also I already just beat SoC in vanilla with just ZRP and I was sick of the standard guns so I thought AO would spice the gameplay up a bit.

probably, too bad I guess, I am having lots of fun with AO, love the sounds and all the accurate ammo types, will probably just go to Call of Pripyat vanilla next.

Thats the point, what do you think would be the logical next step now that we have all the maps so they cant expand that way. I mean they can combine them all like CoC and others did and add some outskirts as Army bases and that sort of thing. And they only did 1 side, maybe theres another side surrounding Chernobyl.
