Try Alternative Exp table, Plateau edition
I was level 35 something and were doing Everfall. You'll get to level 25 with ease but exp requirement from that point onwards rise significantly

Remember to spank your pawns a lot, especially if they're lolis.
And also pic related.

Fighter for hire

Anyone have a spare beastial eye? Rare drop from Garms.

You didn't use my comic for the new OP
It's okay though. Im just haply we got a new thread

post pawns and Arisens

PS4? I was just knee-deep in Garm and came away with a few extras

Yeah, cheeks_jd thank you m8.

Here.

That was before I turned my Assassin Arisen in a Sorcerer and my Mage Pawn into a Warrior.

>In a perpetual state of hodgepodge-iteration of Frazetta/Kelly/Vallejo-monkeying pairing with projected desirable qualities on both of them

>first playthrough, doesn't have a portcrystal yet
>tries an escort mission for the first time
>it's the "Reynard to the Greatwall" one
>"Can't be that hard, right?"
>completely underleveled for the area
>struggles with the female bandits but manages to kills everyone in their fort
>thinks the hardest part is done
>doesn't know about the poison swamps or the following area in general
>it turns into a Benny Hill skit with a Chimera and a bunch of snow harpies and hobgolins running after my party
>all the pawns get slaughtered while I escape, no idea where Reynard is (I'm affected by blindness status effect by then)
>after running around Iike a headless chicken I somehow manage to reach the Greatwall, no idea how
>seconds after Reynard follows me out of nowhere (I really thought he was dead) with only a fraction of health left
>he's poisoned and blind
>he survives long enough to trigger the mission success cutscene
To this day this remains my favourite memory of the game.

Shilling my pawn. lvl 67 warrior. Name: Von Asswhoop

Ha, the Darkest Dungeon one.

ye. Shame that you can't equip maces on pawns

Reminder that the pawn manager update has been released and now allows you to save and edit a pawn's augments, equipment, and personality. I've given the original creator the update files, so it should be up on the Nexus soon. Until then, you can download it here: mediafire.com/file/9dbduetm8fsln2c/

You are an user above us all.

Given what I prefer, don't whine to me.

...

Can you give me a quick rundown on how to install it and whether it's "easy" to get to work. I'm at work at the moment but would love to give this a try to dig a little under the surface of the game. Regardless - thanks for helping the "community" of the game, you're a cool guy for doing this

All you have to do is download and unzip the rar. You can put the folder inside anywhere. After that just double click Pawn Manager and find your save file, usually named DDDA.sav (it also takes xml files for saves which might be useful if you encounter any bugs with your save). After that, everything else is pretty self explanatory. Though if you run into trouble, don't be afraid to ask for help.

Can you make it so we can toy with certain values?
After inclinations, EX_TALK and EX_SKILL_USE.
And in the array "mData", the 12 first?

Color me retarded but I have to ask

Will this break online play?

I already added EX_TALK and EX_SKILL_USE to it, you can find it in the update. As for the stuff in "mData" I wasn't sure what was in it, so I didn't touch it. Especially since it has 64 values and I need to separate all of them individually even if it only uses the first 12. I also have to do the same thing for pawn knowledge (which has over 600 values in total). But if you tell me what's in "mData" I could move it up on the priority list.

Not too sure. Just make sure your stats and vocations are legit for your pawn (equipment doesn't matter) and just make sure the pawn you send back is the same one you received (though I don't think this really matters).

>But if you tell me what's in "mData" I could move it up on the priority list.
Not really sure. My pawn (Strider, 200, 3 stars everywhere) became one hell of a retard and did not know what to do in front of a cyclop when I set those values to 0. The only other thing I noticed is that those values don't change on hired pawns when I do the same (they do on the main pawn).

...

...

I want to cuddle with a lot of pawns you people have posted

...

...

Anyone knows if they ever released a free camera mod for the game?

I can't seem to find my pawn-file, I can load the save file but as for the pawn, I don't know the path really

Or rather, trying to import it from the save tells me "Element with name=mHp does not have a valid value attribute" and that's where my meager tech-"experience" ends

Something might be wrong with your pawn's hp. See if it happens with hired pawns. If anything upload your save file.

Thanks again for the riftbux, Conrad!

In general escort quests a shit, but going into one blind and unprepared is such a thrill.
>escort some douche to the Shadowfort
>it's night by the time we pass the bandits
>red glow between the trees
>You are not the vessel

Mine is similar, though with Adaro and the shadow fort.

>be my arisen
>at like level ten and with practically nothing except the path between the Encampment and Cassardis mapped out
>try to get through Watergod's Altar, though of course there was no way out the other side
>try to go up manamia and around the southern side of that central mountain range
>keep running into a chimera that straight up murderfucks Adaro
>reload
>keep going further and further south to avoid chimera (while avoiding the road, since the bandits would fuck him up too)
>finally wind up at the Tomb of the Unknown Traveler
>poke the rock pile
>RUN AWAY
>keep going southwest
>by now it's night
>SOMEBODY IS FIRING BALLISTAE AT ME
>can't see shit
>camp out on the east side of a hill while assailants keep firing into its west side
>sun rises
>it's fucking goblins again
>dash around to their south and shove their hunks of ore up their own asses
>look down
>more goblins and two cyclopes
>well i've already got this ballista here
>start firing exploding bolts at the cyclopes' eyes
>they get confused, start fighting each other
>go down and finish them off
>continue north following the western mountain range as much as possible
>still paranoid about that chimera
>only meeting golbins now
>find convenient healing spring
>oh, hey, this might just be easy
>see another cyclops off to the east
>can easily avoid it, so do
>what the fuck are you talking about the dragon for, pawns?
>OH HOLY SHIT IT'S ABOVE ME IT'S ABOVE ME RUNRUNRUNRUN
>sprint past some confused goblins
>there, finally, is the fucking shadow fort
>don't want to deal with any more big monsters for a while
>backtrack the whole way after sprinting past the drake again
>head to Gran Soren
>next mission I accept is to escort Ser Berne to...
>...the shadow fort!?

>be me
>weep uncontrollably

There is nothing like an escort going FUBAR when you're playing blind.

Happy Halloween, /ddg/!
it's a spooky night full of frights and surely you're taking your pawn out to collect loot, no?

Reply to this post with your psn and we'll send your pawn home with a random treat in their bag. It could range from everything to shakles and hoes to BBI level 3 weapons, gears and armor so lets go! I'll check the thread and at the end of tonight start gifting.

Dante Must Die Mode: post a picture of you and your pawn dressed up for Halloween with your psn to double your odds of super cool loot.

God dammit why must I be on duty tonight!?

don't worry, mate! If it's super late I'll likely still see your post, my hours are horrible too.

>tfw can't decide what to dress up as
Arisen could go as a werewolf pretty easy and my pawn could go as the duke I guess

Eh I won't be off ship till late tomorrow afternoon. People better post screenshots of their goodies

You're a cool guy user, thanks for everything you do on ddg, I think I like you

So just how exactly do the drake, wyrm, and wyvern tears change enemy drops, is it just an increase to rare drop chances or will they drop new stuff

That's awesome squid, post psn if you'd like anyway Its totally ok to post without a pic, but I'm hoping for some fun ones too
thanks man, I like you too. let's grab some food and get uncomfortably close sometime

Increase to rare drop chances iirc

PSN Viral-Protocol

First trick or treater up! ok, I won't be annoying and respond to everyone, but appreciate it. I'll keep checking back.

>medicant and guardians everywhere
>DLC free shit everywhere
>that fucking princess dress everywhere
Finding a satisfying pawn when you're low s is hard. Anyone got a fighter around level 30 on ps4?

>tfw i keep restarting the game because i don't like how my arisen looks in cutscenes

I-I'll have a pawn someday.

FUCK Griffins.

Oh man, you're gonna have a ball creating said pawn then
>this game too, suffers from great in cc shit in cutscene syndrome

Hey, some of the DLC free shit looks sick as hell.

Not when they nearly all wear the same thing. Then it gets tiresome.

I barely find any (let alone the same item) compared to princess dress.

The princess dress is the worst offender for sure, but there is no lack of pawns wearing nun clothing or the Julien armor set. Even the Lion's Spine is a no go for me. I might be too picky.

If stats don't get in the way of fashion then neither should the choices of low level players. Lion's Spine is my shit.

I'm gifting pawns I rent Pumpkins and other treats today.

Level 56 now gonna be Everfall and other post game stuff today.

To each their own.

I want Uncle Dante-senpai to notice my pawn.
PSN: ouberry13

>implying the silly expressions in cutscenes aren't the best part

I need two sorcerer pawns in the range of level 55 to 65. Any up for hire?

Arisen dressed up as a slutty skeleton and her pawn is dressed up as slutty Robin Hood. BBI is gonna suck.

The last time I went in, I decided to go far enough to make my pawn, too, and dicked around with her for a while in game in various lightings. Didn't see her in a cutscene so far, so I'm not positive, but I think she's decent.

She looks intrigued and excited.

Before the inevitable sequel gets released next year, how would you fix the health system to use it without feeling cheap?

From the top of my head
>inventory menu no longer stops the action
>drinking potions requires an animation that can be interrupted
>only certain healing items can heal you beyond the grey threshold
>health recovery takes time instead of being instantaneous, same with pawn revival
>erase wakestones from existence

>slutty skelly
>not using maul's helmet

y

May as well forgo healing items entirely and just use healsluts.

>we want the Dark Souls audience

NO.

I like Dragon Dogma precisely because it was nice and easy. Don't make it a pain to play.

Fug that, maybe if every class had some kind of dodge roll or way to evade other than jumping like a retard all the time

I know. I could have sworn I had one.

Ha, good job! hey Halloween for girls is basically "dress up as slutty x" so you're right on the money
noticed and mirin them abs. You're added!

she thought he said "rain," and she assumed it was a reference to money

abs so nice you just wanna kiss 'em

I disagree entirely with that, the highest point of the game for me is overcoming overwhelming odds alongside your pawn(s), which in turn makes you feel more attached to them. Just hearing Hopeless Battle is the hypest thing.

Which Vocation do you guys think is the most difficult to play?

warrior

All of them are easy.

Best of both worlds. Include an extra menu for hotkeying items (pressing both triggers maybe) which has monhun style consume animations, but keep the option for menu scumming for the casuls. We don't get immersion breaks when popping a throwblast, and no-one gets butthurt and starts prepare to die lmao so hard memeing

Sorcerer.
If your pawns don't protect you efficiently, all your spells can get interrupted and it's infuriating.

Sorc is annoying as fuck

In a way Dark Souls is more forgiving since it gives i-frames to everyone no matter what "class" they choose. Giving dodge to a sorcerer who is already keeping distance from the heat of the fight would be ridiculous.

And Dark Souls' autosave is very good. I got fucked a few times in Dragon Dogma.

I updated it again to include pawn knowledge and some extra data. However it's hard for me to test this on my own. Using the beta version, I want a few people from different points in the game to upload their main pawn's (or some support pawn's) file using this tool: mediafire.com/file/3mz852n5ciqq1sv/

This is just to confirm that it saves. Adding an editor for pawn knowledge will be an extremely huge task all on its own, so you won't see any new editing options.

Since spell cast times can take dozens of seconds and the heat of the fight can be brought to you regardless of how far away you are in about 2 seconds, I don't think it's that unreasonable

>sorcerer is the hardest
that class has a spell that can fuck up everything in one hit if given enough time and mushrooms

That's the thing. If given time.

Even better, it has holy focused bolt. That is super fast casting. Fighter and warrior I think have it hands down, the latter more than the former.

Mage. Worst stat growth in general, frustrating without knowledge how to play, all skils not so useful. Mage is can be enjoybale by people who run support role. This game however shit on you idea about support vocation and became non existent at later parts of the game. They have staff which can revive from death, it works only on pawns. Sadly they can't have staff which make this shit vocation better.

I don't think that sorcerer is ineffective at all, but positioning yourself so that 1. you have adequate time to cast and 2. there are actually enemies around you when you're done (completely counterintuitive goals) is not nearly as fun and "strategic" as it sounds, it's usually just annoying.

It would make anyone who isn't complete shit simply untouchable. If it was a different kind of dodge than what we already have, maybe.

Forgot to add, comestion is all well and good but it gets old really fast because if you have it slotted there is rarely ever a reason to use anything else. Levin and frigor are fun, not many complaints there, but again get old when it's all you cast since it's all you have time for.

You can usually stand on the other side of the room and be ignored by everything. And 4Sorc makes interruptions trivial, and makes your spells the most OP shit in the game.

Some (but not all) cutscenes distort the arisen's face, either resetting slider positions or changing face parts. Why this happens is a mystery, but it definitely happens, and that's without going into the hilariously bad expression animations. Don't worry how your character looks in cutscenes because it has nothing to do with the character you actually made. Pictured left is an example of how my character looked in the specific cutscene where you talk to Olra after your first time beating BBI, and on the right is the same arisen less than a minute later in the same spot, so you can see what I mean.

The Aelinore cutscenes notably don't fuck up your face for whatever reason, a few others are fine too.

On Gransys, probably MK because of buff management and parry reflexes, but they're all pretty easy. In BBI, of course warrior. But for low-level BBI it's fighter, since warrior easily breaks damage thresholds other vocations struggle with early on.

post pawn info

PSN dowtheorganic

I know, I've played this game on 360, PS3, and PC. Just fucking around now that I've got it on PS4.

Huh, so that's the reason why none of my characters looked good in the cutscene where Grigori smacks the shit out of you.
