Why do you value characters just on how much they add to the story?

I'm sure there's no Makotofag who loves Makoto just because she's important to the plot. There's also characters like Kanji snd Shinji, who are well beloved despite not adding too much to their game's overall narrative

I mean, i'm a Makotofag for P5 but only because the game was pushing her the most.

my take on it is that if they add to the story they get more development themselves like junpei for instance. it's perfectly fine to like characters that have little to no importance to the plot though.

It's been almost 7 month since people played the game and there are STILL people who actually believe Makoto did her investigation because of litter of recommendation and they STILL don't know why she got suspicious of the PT in the first place.

/pg/ cognition of Makoto has changes through Summer because the hate and the forced memes. It's like an echo chamber of hate towards her so they refuse anything good about her and it happened for so long that the memes became her reality.
