Having finally gotten round to playing KS, interest on visual novels being piqued by Doki Doki the Not Oki Doki simulator, and holy fuck have I been missing out on a good read/play.
I don't think a story has hit me as hard as Lilly's good ending.

I was reading through it lazily on my day off, and found that I couldn't get any sleep when I crept off to finally get rest.
Getting to the end of her arc didn't really aid my ability to sleep, in fact I think I was up for another 3 hours tossing between cuddling my fiance and looking sadly at the wall.

Thank you Four Leaf Studios for such a great little story.

I don't post much (if at all really) on Veeky Forums, so if formatting sucks call me the newfag I am.

It was actually my 3rd run. Emi was my first, which I still think has the best character development for Hisao.
Hanako was second, at the behest of a friend. Did not like it at all.
Fiance is blind in one eye, going in the other, so I thought it would be 'funny' to go down Lillys path. How wrong I was.
I now don't want to go down the two remaining paths, content with Lilly's path; if more than a little sad.

Lilly's route really hurt me, too.

Anyway, Lilly is my favorite, though I really recommend that you play Rin's route. You can skip on Shizune's if you must, it's definitely the least good route.

We try to tell people 'no seriously try it, you'll like it' but that's one of the most generic bait phrases in the universe so it's usually overlooked.

No worries, they'll be there if you ever need them. Each girl's path has its own interesting aspects to them, even if it is sometimes sad.

I think on the first go around Lilly's route got to us all, despite what some people may say. I say play through the two remaining routes when you're ready. Rin's route is a good read and Shizune's route has some pretty good CGs. You don't have to push yourself right away though. I did that during my first run through and Shizune's act 4 turned from something good into a slog to get through.

I had a feeling having it at the end was a bad idea, but not like this.

All routes have something fun to take from them... But if you were to never play the last 2, well, you picked the right ones to skip at least.
Shizune is pretty much universally acknowledge as the weakest route... And Rin is the most hit or miss. The weirdness you see of her in Emi,s path, well make that a hundred times over in her own path.

At times it's charming, but at times it's just... "Ok, we get it, you think weird shit, can we move on?". It was for me, anyway.
I could never date someone like that. Would definitely enjoy having a friend like that, because it's hilarious at times, but it'd be hard to get close to someone like that.

Still think you should play them,
someday, but don't rush them for the sake of it!
